  • 4 DAYS TO GO!!! :j

Thanks Everyone! Your supports means loads to me.

Westie I am no where near as good as Lilty. I managed a flourish between being ill and visiting with my DM. My flat looks like a bomb has hit it again. (Perks of living in a small space!).

I really enjoyed looking around the flat. It was fun and nice to work out what OH and I want from our home. I don't feel like where we live is home. It is a room in a flat and OH shouldn't be living with me. Neither of us feel like it is really ours. It will be so nice to have a home together.

So my cold is in fact tonsillitus. Joys. I looked at my tonsils yesterday and yep, definitely that. Ibroprofen and medicine seem to help but it is now affecting my nose which means I can't sleep properly. After a rough night I was awake at 4am and took OH to work. Planning on going home early today as I have a feeling I will end up working overtime on Friday as I have to go to two locations.

OH seems a lot better. He is going out tonight and went out last night and again tomorrow. I am glad he is out enjoying himself but as I am ill I miss him. Silly when we practically live on top of each other 99% of the time. He came home last night and cuddled up to me and we watched rubbish on tv until it was time to sleep. It was nice. Took me ages to get him out of bed this morning. His energy levels really aren't back to their normal levels and he is still coughing.

I haven't updated my signature yet. I am still full of fear about putting myself into financial ruin. I must find a job asap. Everyone says I should get something pretty quickly as my CV is really good. I will keep trying for sure.

Mrs T, I am always doing that! I have even done it with the tablet . In fact once OH did it to me with the tablet :rotfl:. I hope your nose is ok! I am definitely up for the celebration on Friday.

It's funny. I had my light bulb moment before October. It was when I got told about the redundancy that I decided I would need help and support to save and then to get through the decision making. I started my diary and it was probably the best decision I ever made. I was unsure about taking redundancy but with support and help, I have saved some money and I have learnt so much already. I still have a long way to go. I need to do more budgeting and learn some more money making techniques but I know that whatever happens I have lovely people to give me advice support and encouragement to do my best. Whenever I say thank you in my diary or anywhere else on the forum, I really mean it. I could never be as far as I am without you all.

I hope you all have a lovely day!

    October xx

    Hello poppet!!

I got round a few diaries last night but I kept having to go in to Jelly so I gave up and went to sleep in the end or I would have got none!

Only 3 more days after today!! :D Well done for doing what it is that makes you able to walk out of there with your head high. Your new employer will be found so quickly and be so lucky to have you :D and things are honestly going to be so much better!

As for turning into me.. I am OCD :rotfl: - you don't want that. Although apparently it helps in not catching gastroenteritis :rotfl: because everything is disinfected as soon as anything/anyone touches it.

That horrible mobile company. I hate to say it but things are going to get worse. First they sucked in orange and tea mob. And now BeeTee have bought the lot. Disaster waiting to happen. All I can say is, you were MIS-SOLD your contract on the basis that you were told picture messages were free and that was the reason you got this new contract, due to pics being your downfall on the old one. You could wipe the floor with them, so get on the phone and shout. Take out all the work drama on whatever poor sod picks up the phone, in the nicest way possible and get what you want! If not, you ask for their complaints department. And then once they have ineffectually done zip all, you go to OfGem and get out of that contract. Write down now the basis of your conversation when you signed up. Do you have the name of the person who mis-sold to you?

Sorry to hear both you and OH are ill. This cold seems to hang around for years in the form of a cough, or in my case an annoying throat clearing once every few minutes which I drive myself insane with! If OH is still coughing badly and it is even the slightest bit chesty, make him go to the docs. If it is an infection he could be setting himself up for a lifetime of chest infections/bronchitis and pneumonia from the simplest of colds just by letting this run on. Been there, got that T-Shirt. Damaged my lungs ignoring what they were telling me, super strong antibiotics and steroids later, I get bronchitis every time I have a cold.

You are definitely, 100% going to get a job so fast, and £1000 saved is incredible honestly! You've come so far all by yourself with just a few changes here and there. And you know what you want.. SO go get it :) xx

  • Awww thanks both.

Can't breathe through my nose at the moment and my tonsils are all swollen and gooey. I feel like a goo monster. BLERGHH :rotfl:

    The only thing keeping me going is that I can shout;
"FREEEDOMMM" (If I have a voice!) on Friday and then collapse in bed until better. hehe.

I just had a call from another estate agent. OH and I are going to visit another flat on Saturday. It's in the area that would work well for us and we can go when he has finished work. I really like the look of this one but can't remember the price now. Getting way ahead of myself but if I got a job quickly we could potentially move with the money I get from my redundancy.. We will see.

Yay for more viewings!! Don't forget to mentally picture your stuff in there. I bought a house and never even thought about plug sockets until I moved in and there were 2 in each bedroom in really awful places, same downstairs in the living and dining rooms, and worse yet.. the kitchen. Want to microwave something? Either overload yet another 4 way plug, or unplug the kettle or fridge :rotfl:

    Crossing all my fingers xx

  • Lilty we cross posted! - TWICE :rotfl:

Thank you! I know what you mean about coughs. I am going to march OH down the docs next week if he is still coughing. It's been going on wayyyy too long.

I am gutted about Eee Eee. I have been with Orannge since I got my first phone at 18. They convinced me to change to them as they were "the same company" and yeah... grrr.

I couldn't possibly turn into you full time. I just don't have your energy and drive. I wish I did. But every now and then I get a burst and I use it to my advantage! I am so glad that you are staying clear of the lurgs.

You are doing a fab job hon, keep doing what you are doing!

Well done to being so close to sub £4k!

Exciting that you and your OH are flat hunting together! Hope you find something you both like!

Re Eee Eee - I phoned them to complain and I found a good way to start is to apologise! I said "I'm very sorry but I'm very angry and will probably rant at you but appreciate I haven't spoken to you before so it's not your fault"! He laughed and said it was interesting way to start a call and was then more willing to listen and help! If you start off angry they will just get defensive as that's human nature!
