  • 3 DAYS TO GO!!!! :j

Sooo sickness update... UGHHHH. It's not plesant. However, it is a process and I am still managing to get through. I nearly had a good cry this morning as one of my customers was telling me that his wife might have terminal cancer and that they had been married 45 years. I would love to be married that long. Apparently this was her second time with cancer and he had been through it too. He was so brave about it all, I just wanted to cry.

Otherwise, it has been a rather uneventful day. One of my staff has handed in her notice so they are going to be up the creek without a paddle. (That's my polite way of putting it!) I feel sooooooo sorry for them...PAHAHAHA.. Also found out that my replacement was actually below my level, 6 months ago. He hasn't even had a year as a manager of one store, let alone the 10 he is going to have!! And he has the nerve to talk down to me!! Good luck to him, he is defintely going to need it!! :rotfl:

I woke up at 5am this morning like usual but it's OH's day off so I got to stay in bed and stew over the fact I couldn't get back to sleep.

I tried my laptop again last night and then thought I would goooogle it. Welllll.... Apparently whatever is wrong with it is common after two years in this brand ASSUSS and expensive to fix. I am keeping an eye on E of Bay to see if I can get a bargain as I really feel lost without it. I am also sad because of the photos that are on it. I tell myself that all the pictures are all in my memory to try and ease the sadness a little. My own fault for not putting them onto a CD. :(

Ohhh look at this post, so depressing... Did I mention???

    THREE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Got loads of plans for the future, number one being to get rid of this cold. Number two is winning the lotto on Friday :rotfl:.

    Hi October.

Sorry you and OH are still suffering, but it is now OFFICIALLY TWO AND A HALF DAYS TO GO!!!!!! :rotfl::T

I think I'd like that kind of flat hunting, no real pressure, just having a plain old nose around other peoples houses! I love this part of working for an estate agent!

If I were you, I would leave newbie a list of helpful instructions. I.E., they mean something to you, but if he's not been paying attention, won't really help him...

Example: (From my work, so not relevant, but you'll get the idea)

'when you're loading the EPC, make sure you select the 'enter digits' column then put the figures in the prop reg, that way MNGT won't be able to confuse the totals'. That makes perfect sense to me, but would mean NOTHING to someone who sat at my desk for a minute. If someone rang me, I'd easily be able to explain. :rotfl::rotfl: Then walk away with a devilish grin, knowing you're helping in your own unique way!!!!

  • 2 DAYS TO GO!!! :j

I was really naughty yesterday, I left nearly an hour early. I didn't have a break though and I won't take one today either so I am balanced. My line manager is supposed to be coming to see me today to "say goodbye". I roll my eyes at this. I have very little respect for him and especially now he is fully in charge. He cuts corners but is never accountable when it backfires.

My tonsillitus has turned into a head cold. I keep taking lots of medicine with the hope to keep it off my chest. I don't want to start my first week of unemployment sick in bed. I have so many plans.

So I have sausages and mash for dinner tonight. I like that as a dinner, simple but yummy and very filling. We have been eating too much pasta and noodles this week. I want to get some more veggies into us. I am hoping with the extra time I can expand my recipe knowledge to get a better variety of meals as well as be more prepared for when I return to work.

I have some silly worries. I dunno if you would like to hear them but I am going to write them down to remind me later on.
When I am out of work I am worried that..
    1. ..I will lay in bed all day and do nothing
    2. ..I will get lonely/depressed
    3. ..I won't job hunt as much as I should
    4. ..I won't keep things up together
    5. ..I will argue with OH more
    6. ..I will put on more weight/binge eat (due to option 1)
    7. ..I will let everyone, including myself down
    8. ..I will end up in financial ruin
    9. ..I will end up in another job I hate
    10. ..I won't be able to sell anything on E of Bay
    I know most of them are silly but I am basing a lot of them on how I was like when I was 17 and only working one day a week. That was the last time I really stayed at home and did nothing. Obviously I know I can't but I am so ridiculously lazy sometimes. I think my diary will be extra important for me to focus myself and keep myself on track. Here are some of the things I want to achieve on a daily basis;
    1. No using my car unless it is to transport myself and someone else (ie. picking up OH or meeting a friend)
    2. Spend a minimum of 3 hours per day job hunting.
    3. Keep up with household chores
    4. Sort through things to sell on E of Bay
    5. Take a walk
    6. List items on E of Bay
    7. Sew things
    8. Keep up with this diary
    9. Eat healthily
    10. Budget
I think the above is reasonable but I am scared I will more likely be the higher list. It is entirely up to me and my determination though and if I keep track of my activities on my diary, maybe you will all encourage me to stay good.

Now, time for me to update my signature as I still haven't done that. I don't know if I will be on tomorrow for a long update as I will have my replacement here to conduct leavers checks (making sure I don't steal anything -insert eyeroll-). I want to log out and make sure that no one from work knows I have this diary.

Have a fabulous day everyone and speak soon!!
