    Another small payment made today.

Washing machine is being delivered tomorrow, it's amazing how quickly the washing all builds up! I need to clean out the old one and have a google of how to fit the new one as well. I also need to take the filter out of the old one to see if my wedding ring is in there, it's been missing a few months now :(

Lots of listing to do as well, got to keep the momentum going!

    Hope everyone is well.

Crikey, I hope you find your wedding-ring, Jwil - did it just slip off your finger or do you take it off for various reasons? I never take my wedding ring off but do take my other rings off a lot.

I would have no idea how to fit a washing-machine, except that you need water-in and water-out - hopefully it will all work with the plumbing that is already there. Don't you have to make it level as well? (Sorry, bit clueless about these things :o.)

Good luck with all your new listings as well :).

Thanks peaceandfreedom :) My wedding and engagement rings slipped off one day. The engagement ring turned up the next day when it fell out of little jwil's clothes, but no sign of the wedding ring :( I'm assuming they came off when changing his nappy. I did check the nappy but no luck.

Washing machine plumbing is going *really* well :wall: I have managed to completely flood the kitchen :o and had to phone DH in a panic as I couldn't turn the stop !!!! off. He did confirm that I was attempting the correct tap and I did manage to get it turned off. I have also now managed to turn the water supply to the machine off properly and put the main water back on.

The mop disintegrated whilst trying to clear up (shows how often it gets used :D ) so I now have a huge pile of soaking wet towels as well to try and wash when the new one is here and connected.

I've been on to google as the new machine is cold fill only and the old one is hot and cold fill, so discovered I need to cap off the hot pipe. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to use it until I got the cap as I hadn't managed to turn off the supply, but that is sorted now so I don't have to go without water. I've ordered the cap online and hopefully that will be here tomorrow so it will work as a secondary back up to the tap.

I've managed to drag the old machine out in the garden so it's at least out of the way. Haven't taken the back off yet to look for my ring but will do that later probably.

The kitchen has had a rather unplanned deep clean.

I'm absolutely shattered now and still got loads to do.

Remind me never to try and save £20 on installation again! :rotfl:

Well this morning's activities have done me in. I can barely move now! Washing machine is here, but I can't connect it until DH comes home and finds me a spanner. The one I've got is too big.

It's annoying as I was hoping to catch up on some of the washing.

Done some ebay listing and going to try and get a bit more done now. I also have a few parcels to send, but they can go tomorrow.

I've received £30 in amazon vouchers from survey sites today :T and redeemed another £5 yesterday so waiting for that to come through.

    Hope everyone is well :)

  • You dragged the old washing machine outside . Might I remind you that you're in the family way, lady, please desist from such activities in future. Not surprised you can hardly move now!

Brizzled is right, though, it was quite funny :). Hope all is sorted out now with the machine.

Well done on the amazon vouchers, good stuff :).

Thanks guys, it wasn't funny at the time, but is now :D

I had no choice to drag it outside otherwise I couldn't clear up the flood!

I am still suffering though, so won't be doing anything like that in a hurry again!

Well best laid plans and all that. Got summoned to collect little jwil yesterday with suspicion of Chickenpox. A visit to the doctor later and it was confirmed :(

I've had to have a blood test to check my immunity, as it's not good for preggo ladies. Should be ok though as I had it when I was a child.

So it looks like I've got an unplanned week off work!

Today I am feeling rubbish as although little jwil is ok during the day, he's unsettled at night, so not much sleep happening.

I've cleaned out both washing machines with are selling :T And hoping they will go tomorrow. DH did all of the moving ;) It will be a couple of ££ back towards the new one.

Finally caught up with the backlog of washing. Have also managed to get a fair bit dried too, but the weather has changed now so that's it for now. It's currently thunder and lightning and torrential rain here!

DH has done a tip run to get rid of some stuff, and with the spare washing machine gone, our porch is looking huge!

I've had a couple of sales on ebay so that's good. Did make a small payment yesterday.

No car booting for us this weekend - weather probably not good enough, but also due to little jwil being contagious. Hope to get some stuff done around the house instead.

    Hope everyone is well!
