    Thanks beanie -that's the one!!

Not sure if the referendum helped or what the problem is...might just be as simple as the price...but we are as low as we can go. Just thought there might be another solution!!

Well I like it but it is quite big so suitable for families really. Also no floorplan so can't tell what the layout is like.

Is is next door to a derelict / disused building? That would put me off straight away.

Thanks again beanie. That was an old school, my house is actually the old headmaster's house. The school has be domolished and brand new semi detached houses are there now.

I know, this house is just over my back garden wall and they were desperate to sell. They bought the house in 2007 for 300k and sold it very cheaply. Unfortunately we can't sell for anything near that.

Well you need to get some photos taken outside that clearly show that the school is gone. One of the first things I check when looking at properties is Google street view

    Seeing This

would immediately cross your property off my list

Just looking solely at the stats it certainly sounds overpriced on paper, you're looking to achieve nearly double the current highest price for the street.

There seems to be lots of very cheap properties on the road, and the huge school ? building next door certainly isn't doing you any favours.

I'm not a huge fan of the large area of Asphalt at the front of the property either

Thanks for your thoughts. Ours is the only house like it on the street and with the large extension too, we truly thought this was achievable...how wrong were we!!!:o

Absolutely. I'm going to get onto the agent and get that sorted too!

It surely would have done because any potential buyer from outside Scotland would be concerned about buying in a potential foreign country, but also getting a mortgage and in which currency would have been an issue.

No issue now though apart from the fact that any potential English buyer now knows the level of dislike towards them, and that could put them off.

That maybe the issue. You are above the ceiling for your road / area and no EA blurb to justify

You need to have a house of the week slot in local property paper / open house event to promote it

The house looks great inside, but the space in front looks like a car park of an office building or similar, very poor "kerb appeal" and as others have said it appears to be very overpriced for the street.

The googleview is appalling, but not much you can do about that apart from get some decent photos in the ad , and maybe mention in the text that the school has gone.

I'm afraid that given the choice I would have gone for the one that sold for £315k.

    Good Luck

Nor me. In fact my immediate thought was how much it would cost to relandscape it.
