We just had slow roast fillet of lamb (with garlic and rosemary and thyme) with roasties, peas and mint sauce and gravy. Forgive the capitals, but YUM!
Day's weather has just got better and better as it went on. But another recovery day for me. Tomorrow hope to get bath and get out to either old home or lottie. Anyway here's today's photo from bedroom.2015 April 4 bedroom window pic by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
I'm worried I'm being boring sending these photos - please someone let me know if you'd rather I didn't.
Toying with getting a new Kindle Fire after seeing the offer on HUKD, but think would prefer to pay a bit more for the 16 Gig one of this one.
Currently reading the user reviews...
Any suggestions of better? Will pass old one on to OH so he can take photos to show his Mum on it. Am also wondering if she might be able to use one as at her new Nursing Home they have wi-fi. Guess OH can take one in for her to try out and see. She's very frail, and it might well be more than she can cope with.0 -
I have the Kindle Fire HD 7" if you have any questions Maggie. In fact I'm typing this on it.
They are a great cheap tablet, however there are a few downsides...
Only one camera, and that's not great.
Not true Android, so not everything works with it.
The browser that it works with is not as good as others.
For watching tv the pic is great, the sound for music is very good, and its a doddle to use.
ETA...My main frustration is with apps. There are apps I want to use that just aren't compatible. My fit band for example, requires kitkat so I have to use my phone, but then the screen isn't big enough on my phone to fully view the graphics. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Maggie, reading the reviews looks like they've cracked the camera problem... appears they are front and back now.
I have an HD 16 gb. Another frustration is the bloody auto correct.
The fact I've had it over a year and haven't replaced it with a Nexus yet is a sign that I can live with the niggles. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Has any one else seen The Congress? One thing I'll say about amazon prime is it pushes the range of films you watch. Title has nothing to do with film really, but is derived from book.....so presumably makes sense in book more, but film was mad. Weird, trippy, pseudoserious craziness. Some of the visuals I found addictively frightening.0

Thanks for the headsup. :j
I read the original book in the 70s - The Futurological Congress by Lem. An astounding SF author from Poland. Wrote futuristic fables and was fantastically original. lj's a fan. We discussed his books three years ago.
Need to watch this.:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I watched the worlds fastest Indian tonight. Really surprisingly good.
And definitely something that having ready access to a wide variety of films and their trailers online makes easier to find and want to watch.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
