Check with Doglet first. Perhaps fermented apple cores aren't a problem:beer:

A friend had an aged rottweiler that was very partial to vodka. She (the dog not the friend) was quite arthritic and we assumed she got pain relief from it. She, like some humans, might simply have enjoyed getting mashed up.

Dog dog always gets my apple cores. Its a problem and its a benefit ......its weighing up risks. Tbh, doglet is a healthy little omnivore in her older years who enjoys her omnivorous diet. So long as it didn't include the more crashing dog unsafe foods I'd relax. Similarly, I include the occasional uncooked egg in my diet, some sugar , even occasionally unrefined :D and fats like cheese and cream.

I actively choose to not sweat about my dogs foraging stuff, and eating things like apple cores. They like it, I am under no illusion they will live for ever.

Departed Dog used to walk down Dad's row of peas munching them as he went, this was even more impressive given he was blind in the last few years.

I've been travelling a lot for work lately and the cupboards are looking a bit sparse.

Took a piece of salmon out of the freezer which shall be dinner with some lemon pasta, and then it might be time to do a Tesco order online.

On a brighter note I scored some free craft beer this week and resolved to take the long weekend and not answer any emails or phone calls.

Now on the third IPA of the day and very tasty they are too.

I made passionfruit curd today which is a new one. Crivens it's good.

Mrs McT is a passionfruit fiend.

She can sniff that stuff out from a mile away. Can't say I'm a fan though.

    I love them too.

DH loves Passion flowers. ( they leave me cold). But in the best of marital compromise the passionflowers planted here are passiflora edulis, which though tender if they do fruit well in years will be the best tasting fruit, proper Passion flowers not the also ran fruit on other passionflowers. I'm doubtful they will fruit that often, but if I am proven wrong will be delighted and will very gladly reap the rewards! . :D. They do have lovely foliage too, and its not the flowers aren't lovely, they just seem too 'tropical' looking for an English garden to me.

Glad you had a great time :T

I failed dismally in a similar task. I will definitely need to raid the shops before the parents arrive on Monday afternoon ...

Luckily I have been invited to 2 Easter roasts tomorrow (one at lunchtime, the other at teatime - shades of Vicar of Dibley) so I will not starve tomorrow :D
