I take benedryl as the best of a bad bunch. They all make me sleepy and none are brilliant at controlling hay fever.
I used to take tablets that actually worked and had no side effects. Each time I find one that works on both counts it subsequently gets withdrawn.
Trying to think back what the good ones were: Triludan- that upset peoples heart rhythms
Daneral SA - that caused seizures and sleep disorders

You're lucky. I get lots of headaches.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Thalidomide was great at treating morning sickness. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Seems optimal!
I'd love this!!
I don't take anything for headaches etc any more because a : doesn't seem to be worth it and b: I feel I have loads of stuff in me all ready And c: I always have at least a mild headache so I have learned to function with them most of the time. Finally, there is some OTC stuff I'm not meant to take and I can never remember what so easier just to avoid it all:rotfl:.0 -

Thalidomide is very close to being a wonder drug. It's great at treating a whole lot more than just morning sickness, including leprosy and some aids-related stuff and probably other things as well. It also has close to no side-effects whatsoever, provided you're not in the first trimester of pregnancy....Too much stress?
Probably mostly connected with crummy sleep patterns. They are really nasty headaches, sometimes with nausea and verging in the direction of migraines, although I haven't had any "proper" migraines for about 11 years now. Back then I had the real deal with all the flashing visual disturbances and everything.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Some startlingly high proportion of drugs that are tested do work very well but do not pass safety tests. ISTR that aspirin would not pass modern tests.
I hope you can sleep better soon. If you use a laptop or tablet late at night the blue light from the screen can upset your sleep patterns. I turn the brightness on my ipad down to minimum after about 9 PM. That really does seem to help me.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Gentle ((HUGS))) lir. I do hope the new antihistamine helps.
I have bad hay fever atm too. A nasal spray helps. A while back I used to have a single steroid injection every year, but they don't do that any more. Shame, it was the only thing that really worked.0 -
I take cetirizine for hayfever and also when I'm visiting my DS who has many cats which I'm allergic too. I'm trying to put off taking the tabs too soon this year but introducing a spoonful of local honey into my diet already. It has seemed to work in previous years.
Another one who no longer has the steroid injection each year.Spend less now, work less later.0
