There was a discussion on here recently about councils charging to collect garden waste.

Currently we have a total of five bins/crates - a big green wheelie bin for household rubbish, which is collected every fortnight; a green crate for paper and card; a maroon crate for plastic bottles and packaging, cans and metal lids, and tetrapaks; a black crate for glass bottles/jars; and a brown wheelie bin for garden waste and food waste.

All the recycling bins are emptied every week.

Looking at the council's projected budget for next year, it appears that they intend to separate the food waste collection from the garden waste collection, and start making an annual charge for the latter.

Atm both these items go into the same bin, so it will be interesting to see how they will manage that, and even more interesting to see how much longer they will be able to say they have more waste recycled (as opposed to going to landfill) than any other London borough :(

I popped out to see my pharmacist this morning. She advised a different type of antihistamine than I tried, and sold it to me. She then noted that fir takes a prescription only sort and mentioned that if the OTC counter didn't work it might be worth trying that sort.....tbh I had never thought about the different sorts of antihistamine.

I find that cetirizine makes me very sleepy. During the hay fever season, I have got it down to less than a quarter tab of cetirizine at night time. That still leaves me feeling sluggish and hung over all morning.

Loratadine has the opposite effect. It's a powerful sleep antagonist.

They both have about the same effect on the hay fever.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Neither loratidine nor cetirizine makes me drowsy, and both are reasonably good against the hay fever. Piriton, OTOH, puts me to sleep for several hours, allowing me to wake up just as the hayfever returns.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Was there a recent health scare about Piriton? Or have I got the name wrong?

Edit. It may give you Alzheimer's.

I thought from this morning piriton was one of those two.

I find they all make me drowsy and none of them to seem to actually work enough for me to go outside, doctor gave me something prescription only last year when the hay fever got out of hand, worked on the hay fever but made me feel extremely anxious :(

Fir's are strictly for pruritis, but he's not itchy at all any more, so isn't needing them. This feels unlike any previous allergic reaction I've had, but cannot see what else it would be.

I showed the pic to the pharmacist and she said 'wow, I'd pay for them!' And I said, yes, I know, they looked great,:D and look almost normal now, but they are a little uncomfortable and scratchy and it feels different and has lasted longer than one of these usually does for me.
