You made me laugh! He can't even use it, it was just spite. As it was I ordered another which arrived at home on Xmas Eve. I don't want to hurt SIL, really and I guess that is why I have been considering a gift.
I know we're supposed to be Nice People on here, but frankly I think a card is as much as he can expect. There are some very "interesting" cards out there though..
After all, you can continue to get SIL presents.

Just an email. No need for a card.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

My pet peeve is the front windows that stretch across the whole van don't open. ....
If it really annoys you then you could get some caravan firms round to quote for replacement windows. Might be OTT, but if you plan to keep it another 5+ years it might just be worth it. All depends on how much cash you've got sloshing about, how much the quotes come in at and how annoying it really is.

Just got a bed out the car, admittedly in not so good condition, to have problem neighbour complain about it being outside (it's now all inside, and this was the idea)

After I've worked my creative magic, I'll throw up some photos, as it definitely has a lot of potential.

Total cost = £0, plus 10 miles of diesel....bargain. I love mini projects like this.

Yes, I toyed with that idea... But this caravan has a number of issues that make me think it won't last *that* long. Given the decking round it, will be a major thing when we change it. The decking will last for at least another 10 years, more if we keep it well oiled (which we are doing in a fairly disorganised way). Plus we've got glass rather than slats round most of the deck, though the glass can be saved and re-used even when decking dies (good thing, as it cost an arm and a leg!). But the van itself is rather tired. Not sure if kids will want to keep van on as they rent cottage together now. DD1 lives in London so long way to travel. DD2 on Wirral, but they go all over the country for their hols and once GrandTwins bigger suspect they will go abroad. DD1 is the one interested in boat, DD2 not keen. Not sure what the hell we'll do with the boat either. Could take her to the Mersey I suppose.

Anyway, I'd rather hang on to the cash for windows and either put towards better van in a few years - assuming we are still capable of getting here of course! :o  OH will be hitting 70 this year. So realistically it might be better to spend any spare cash on new home eg the front drive is a total mess (topsy turvy from when skips parked on it when work done on house) and I'd quite like a greenhouse! :)

Ribble Valley is gorgeous. Take a look at the viaduct!
