Haha. This is cute. Thanks :D

So Juliette, tell us about yourself.

Do you have strong views either way about mushrooms?
    Are you a scientist?
Are you (or your partner if you have one) Jewish?
If you are from Illinois then I'm guessing you're not in Hertfordshire??
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

As it's 4am in Illinois I would guess that our friend is either an early riser or from Illinois but not in Illinois.

Medication update...yes it is a manufacturers problem. But I have found a possible alternative drug and fir is going to ask pharmacist if I'm correct and if so ask them to ask GP if I can swap on to that one.

Phew. I've done what I can at least. :)

    Edit:

I just opened this months bag to check and they've been packaged all wrong in the blister packs anyway.

In fact, I think but am not certain that if I took these as they have been packeted I'd be pretty bloody ill indeed before the end of the month, and might not get to leave hospital again. ( just checked drug website.....I'd be unlikely to make a week. )

Seriously, how many pharmacy fails does one person have to have before they catch me out? I'm all for euthanasia, but not like this.

You should make an official complaint about the pharmacy/pharmacist. You have checked your drugs - but others won't/can't and all need to be protected.

Do you to who I do this?

I have been in a bit of a tzz about it this morning. I know I have been to thir head office before, but I cannot remember what about.

    :o

I also raised just this point on last complaint, also cannot remember what that was about, and they said that They didn't know what to say about me worrying about other peope, that it really was nothing they could say to that, they have a very low complaint rate and I was probably upset because they had made a mistake with mine and was upset.

( I was ina. Tizz then too, but I cannot remember whT the ruddy mistakes were)

The problems with memory problems ( see how I can empathise with RP:rotfl:). I hate this becUse it makes me feel how much ability I have lost.

This time I have taken a photo of the incorrectly packaged pills. Fir called them, they were here as if they arrived in a rocket and removed them. They admitted to fir that it was dangerous mistake.

They haven't heard of the drug I am suggesting, but it is approved for something else.

My guess is GP won't know about it so it won't get approvedby him, unless he's prepared to call consulting physician or a neuro.

I might call private GP later and ask him to fax a script, because I am still in neurologist limbo. :( or I could try the consulting physician.

Sigh. This is too much faff. I'm sure giving up the pills is easier.

That's no joke. Wrong drugs, incorrectly packaged. The chemist's lucky you checked, as otherwise we might have lost you and he might have ended up in jail on a manslaughter conviction.

I suggest sending the drugs back and asking for your prescription back. Time for a new chemist.

Edit: Just seen that they have collected them. Is this a national chain of chemists, like Boots?

Edit again: There's a lot to be said for the slow release version of the medication that suits you and you are used to. It's absolutely definitely not available?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Link on this page. You need to do it, especially with a photo as evidence.

    They have already taking them.

The drugs were right, in that they are what they can source that's agreed substitution, a pill not a capsule, and not slow release. But they had been packaged so that they would have been taken all at the same time which would have been very serious. A double dose is
serious, this would have been quadruple dose at one time, before bed, and so most likely is no one would know anything wrong.

Some one has suggested raising a safeguarding issue, but I don't know what that is.

Because I've been upset my head is bad and I'm going to be a mess on phone to GP later. Fir trying to get home but true going hard to rearrange stuff.

Not sure I should make any decision today. :o

    Quite right.

Calm down, as there's no rush. Certainly, there's no rush to complain. I'm not convinced that DH needs to drop everything and come home early.

The only important question is: Do you have enough meds to be going on with?
