Ha ha, I always think of the 89 as running East-West, but now I come to think of i,t it must be North-South...I'd be coming from the South then, I guess. I could get the 486 as well. I'm in Bexleyheath
oh wow..so near. I thought most NPT's were in Herts or somewhere rural.
Maybe it is E/W..... I look over London and think of it as North and the other side of the hill towards Kent feels like South...but I think you are right.0 -
I've been wanting to see Eltham Palace for ages. Hopefully, I can combine the visits to the two palaces, Eltham and FC's.
It's about a mile away. I can give you a knowledgeable tour as one of the things I had to do as a kid was do a big project on it.
My Dad's house backs onto it. He can remember where Mrs Courtaulds swimming pool was (it is now grassed over but the hedges around it are still there. He did Bobajob for her a long time ago and saw her in a swimsuit diving into a dark green outdoor pool. This must be 75 years ago now.
We went to the jousting there this summer.......the fish in the moat are huge.0 -
.... as kids we used to climb over the fence into the grounds and get conkers.0

I've seen it but not in super slo mo yet. One of the things about being in Aus is that the copyright holders in Europe are all in bed during my working day so I can find the stuff that Asian fans put up and watch it before they all get taken down again.0 -
maggie Glad you're safely home and had a wonderful time
Thanks for posting the link to DoveGreyReader's talk. I've bookmarked your post and will read it tomorrow.
OH and I went to the Tower of London today to see the poppiesthen headed to Covent Garden for lunch, and the art installation we saw on TV recently was there, a building that appears to be broken in two, I can't remember the name of it. The place was full of people taking photos of it, and going up to touch it and exclaiming "Wow, it's concrete!"
So I'm off to bed now and will have a quiet day tomorrow. Good night, and Good whatevertimeofdayitis to Gen.0 -

I think you're confusing him with 'Tinsel tits'

Fir eats chia seeds.
Are there any foods that fir does not eat, or that he finds distasteful?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Yes.
Tuna pasta bake definitely.
He doesn't like something he describes as 'complete foods turned into foods'. So. No pioneer recipes involving a tin of soup.
He didn't used to like mashed potato,
Actually, its quite difficult to cook for both he and RP sometimes and make both happy.
Edit: he goes through phases. Chicken with any sort of sauce can be something he doesn't want for months, or years. So, nothing like chicken paprika etc, ( which is a nice winter meal IMO)
I am sure I can add to this list as I think about it. Hard off top of head, but yes.
Tbh, I'm not sure he LIKES chia seeds, but he feels the health benefits are too great to ignore. He eats them in a muesli he mixes himself ( and a revolting green smoothie full of spiralina) at work. So long as he's eating healthily and happily if its a health choice over a health balanced with taste choice so be it.
He didn't like a lot of food in China, and spent much of his time there quite unwell. When he got to Hong Kong I think he made up for lost time.
There is lots I just wouldn't think of that I am sure he'd not like that much. But he'd eat it politely I think. He'd even eat tuna pasta bake if I made it again, and say thanks and kiss me. But I'd know he didn't like it, lol.
