    I've been Money Tipped!
Non RP was mugged yesterday. :(. Is feeling a bit silly and old. We're transferring money to a friends account for them to pick up ( friend willing to loan them straight out and wait till non RP got new bank stuff, but obviously non RP felt awkward and vulnerable). Non RP coming back to uk in a couple of weeks now. Seems a shame. :(. Apparently the police were brilliant and kind.

Hell. Hope non-RP is okay. Mrs Generali got mugged when she was pregnant which was a terrible experience.

A mate of mine got mugged on Highgate Hill. He turned around and punched the mugger to the ground and then went through his pockets and found a tenner! I was pleased that the scrote made a loss on his attempted crime.

That's awful lir. So sorry to hear. If it isn't a secret, do you mind me asking where it happened and or whether mugging older people is common there?

When I was much younger and in to vintage clothing, I had a beautiful, original pair of slingback winklepickers from the 1950s/60s. I was wearing these on Belsize Park tube station when I saw a pair of men try to mug an old lady. I'd done a little bit of martial arts as a kid... you should have seen the look of shock and horror on the purse snatcher's face when he got a pointy kick in the wrist and released it in pain before running away with his mate.

Got well told off by the police for vigilantism though.

Still have my weaponised shoes in the loft. I keep them as a sort of trophy.

Well done you. The police should have bought you a drink.

All muggers are scum, just bottom feeders.

This med btw, is having amazing impact! He went up to the higher dose this week, but even on the lowest dose his skin has improved amazingly :). I'm not sure he'll need to get to the 'full' dose at this rate, ) he's blood tested every four weeks then moves up a dose, but .....this is amazing stuff, )

Sorry to hear about non RP, lir, but great news about fir. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I know, its incredibly good. His knees and elbows have lost their ' red croc skin' patches' and are soft flexible again, pink, but soft.

This is his ankle. Its normally livid red with nasty bits. Its so much better. And this is probably the worst bit left. Knees etc might be bigger patches, but not as 'cross' and as this one is barely cross at all that seems really good. :)

Where do his socks end? I ask because most men's socks have elasticated tops. I just cut those off with a pair of scissors. I'll happily send fir a couple of pairs of the unelasticated socks I use. I mean I'll send him a couple of new pairs, not worn ones.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Such a shame. Especially if it has left a bad taste in mouth and they are returning home. In terms of practical solutions, Travelon sells theft proof bags, may make a nice gift when they return:
    http://www.travelonbags.com/anti-theft

You can buy them in the UK, but couldn't find a site quickly.
