I notice that you didn't bother asking me that! Either you think I'm capable of eating 11 eggs by Sunday or I've got so much form for eating out of date stuff :D

Thank goodness for that :) I've treated myself tonight. Clean sheets on my bed, I've just showered (usually I showed in the mornings/ at lunchtime if I've been to the gym), but I saved it up for tonight so I'd be squeaky clean in my nice clean bed. One of my most favourite things, and I'd have been upset to waste it on a night when I can't have a lie-in the next day :o

I ended up with two eggs, scrambled, accompanied by a fillet of mackerel with herbs and pink peppercorns, both sat on a chapati. Not bad, considering it was cobbled together from stuff that needed eating up (what was I saying about eating out of date food...?).

I also love getting into a bed made up with clean bedding. If I had more money than sense or more time than sense, I would have clean sheets every night.

I will eat virtually anything past sell by date if it looks and smells ok, but not eggs.

I get the bit about choosing which day to change the sheets but I would go for the normal shower routine plus extra rather than the 'saving up' bit....of slight concern is that were you with partner he/she might be told 'not tonight, I've just changed the sheets'.....

On the other hand, getting into a freshly made bed may be just the encouragement a partner needs.

Having worked in a salmonella lab, eggs used to be a worry to me. There's less than two deaths a week from them now but there was about a death a day back then.

I love custard tarts and omelettes. And one egg in a fried brekky. And french toast. Don't tell me any more nice things we can make with them please.

Good job I don't have such a partner for anyone to need to worry on behalf of then :)

I don't think I suffered too much from the extra 12 hour wait for a shower. Pretty sure no-one else did either (well, I was in a room with the same 5 people all day and no-one passed out/ moved away from me)

Boiled egg and soldiers is an option for me, as I've bread and eggs to get through. :)
But I can eat 3 scrambled eggs, can't easily eat 3 boiled eggs as it's only the first one that's a real 'treat', after that it's "not another s0ddin' tricky egg"

Yes, scrambled eggs with tons of pepper on toast is also good. Can we stop now?:(

I think an egg mayo sandwich might happen at some point next week. Not had that for ages. Also just remembered I picked up a silly boiled egg plate in the tk maxx clearance a few weeks ago, so boiled egg and soldiers should probably go on the menu too.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yes, but once they're past that date, with each passing day, even if they still sink, there's always that part that kicks in so you simply don't fancy them .... so they still have to be eaten soonest.
    .

That's when to bake and freeze.

Meringues do better with older eggs.

Somethings I really only would only would eat with very fresh eggs others, not so much.

Going to be a long day tomorrow....up at 4am to take Josh to an applicant open day at James' uni. Going by train (well rail replacement bus for the first part) as there is no way I would be able to cope with driving there, being there for the whole day and then driving back again, I would be an absolute danger on the road if I tried!

The only train that would get us there in time leaves (or would if they were not doing work, so substitute bus for train), from the next big town, so got to drive there first...now hoping the parking is not too expensive as my budget is very limited for tomorrow.

Going to be so exhausted this time tomorrow and I dread to think how I am going to feel on Sunday, not looking forward to the Tube transitions, wheelchair access doesn't seem great at two of the stations we need to go through, so it will be a case of crutching it whilst Josh manhandles the folded chair up and down escalators/steps.

Still, it will be worth it in the long run, Josh will get to have a proper look at the uni and see what the 'feel' is, whilst also getting a taster of what the course offers rather than having someone talking about it or him reading about it....and of course, it means I get to spend some time with James too.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Ok, so I went back to the Doctor today to get a proper diagnosis. It turns out that there are 2 things wrong with me:

    1. SMS
    2. Foraminal stenosis

The latter basically means that the space for my sciatic nerve isn't big enough so it's getting pinched. The former stands for Stupid Man Syndrome.

The latter can be 'cured' with an operation to shave away the bone but I'm in no rush to get that done! The former is sadly incurable.
