I had to buy bread as I have a lot of eggs to eat. I've got about 10 that have a date of this Saturday, so need to "crack on" and get eating them up in time. So it's lots of egg and tomato sandwiches for me.

I also have a load of eggs which I need to 'get cracking' with.

Got bought lunch today so not very hungry right now (seeing as I wasn't paying the dented tin of tesco value chicken soup I'd taken in with me can go back in the cupboard :) scampi and chips seemed much more appealing.

Maybe I'll have something small and egg-based later.

Edit: Just counted, I have 11 eggs; best before 22nd. Will probably keep a couple for next weekend. Unless I can get through all 11 before then!

Bl00dy hell, I've gone through the whole of today thinking it was Thursday - and, now I think of it, I went through yesterday thinking it was Wednesday.

Pleeaaaase don't tell me I'm wrong and I have school tomorrow

PN is Saturday your last day for eating the eggs, or do you go past the sell by dates if the food looks fresh?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I notice that you didn't bother asking me that! Either you think I'm capable of eating 11 eggs by Sunday or I've got so much form for eating out of date stuff :D
No, it's me. After you posted I checked. It's Friday 20 February.

Thank goodness for that :) I've treated myself tonight. Clean sheets on my bed, I've just showered (usually I showed in the mornings/ at lunchtime if I've been to the gym), but I saved it up for tonight so I'd be squeaky clean in my nice clean bed. One of my most favourite things, and I'd have been upset to waste it on a night when I can't have a lie-in the next day :o
I micro-boiled three earlier, well, it was four, but one turned out "a bit funny", so I was suspicious of it and it went in the bin. Just shelled/ate one earlier. I'll probably micro-boil four more tomorrow .... once boiled they keep for ages longer in the fridge, but I figure if they're boiled and just there then I'll get round to eating them more readily as I've got the bread to hand. I'll probably do scrambled eggs (3) on toast tomorrow breakfast.

Already eaten two rounds of tomato sandwiches - bit annoying really as I bought the bread to eat the eggs with ... and only bought the tomatoes to jazz up the eggs a bit.... and then ended up not eating the eggs.

I ended up with two eggs, scrambled, accompanied by a fillet of mackerel with herbs and pink peppercorns, both sat on a chapati. Not bad, considering it was cobbled together from stuff that needed eating up (what was I saying about eating out of date food...?).

I must admit on eggs we use the float test rather than looking at the date on the box as we hardly eat them so they stick around for ages.
    I think....

It's this type of weird thinking that others don't get that makes me appear weird to other people ... (who I find weird). I can fully understand that statement and thinking. Maybe you caught aspieness when you visited. :)

'Fraid not. I've been weird for a long time ;)

I get the bit about choosing which day to change the sheets but I would go for the normal shower routine plus extra rather than the 'saving up' bit....of slight concern is that were you with partner he/she might be told 'not tonight, I've just changed the sheets'.....
    I think....
