Dog??? Whose dog?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
On the way home after a wander around town I was considering whether to do a bit of cleaning or a bit of gardening. Less than 60 seconds after shutting the front door behind me, it started hailing then raining fairly heavily.
I think the universe is trying to tell me something!0 -
Thanks LIR. I need to get this as sorted as I can. It's weeing me off already and it's just been a few months. The pain in the bolox is the worst.
Youchy. Poor you. One of my occasional ' blind spots' is in equivalent area, offering me considerable frustration at times, but no ouch! I get occasional different nerve pains ( I call them the needles, or the darning needles) there like everywhere else but not so much there really.
Haven't been able to nap this afternoon so getting quite exhausted now.0 -
Red Dwarf VI on Dave and Dave ja vu.
Spring is obviously coming, was lying in bed minding my own business when a ginormous wasp emerged from somewhere and flew towards window. Cue running downstairs in panic minus phone. OH was at old home to meet with a Freecycler collecting a Singer treadle sewing machine so was on me own! Was just psyching self up to go back into bedroom to get phone and call OH for help when he turned up. :j Wasp trapped in glass, set free outside front door, and apparently it flew off headed towards the sun. :j0 -

Used to live very near the main actor in that series; he was a regular in my local Indian restaurant, where with hindsight I spent too much time and money.
I have a theory that all actors like Indian food, but it's not a universally accepted scientific theory just being based on living in two areas of London containing actors I recognise.
I reckon we've a wasps nest in the attic. Finding and destroying it's on my to-do listThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Surely a bit early for a nest? Even down south? They die off over winter, so hopefully you can just get it out. We had one last year, though haven't found it yet... But the piles of dead wasps in our sun tubes was a bit of a give-away! Our son in law tells us that if you have any small gaps that the queens can get into in your roof space to start new nest you should stuff them with wire wool. I'm still trying to persuade OH to do that - he doesn't seem keen! :rotfl: But I can't even get into the loft, so it's he does it or we have more nests this year. <roll eyes smiley>0 -

Every year we have dead or dying wasps all over the top floor. They never sting us, but I hate the sight of them.
I changed a light bulb in the upstairs bathroom and tons of dead wasps rained down from it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Is it your dog PN? I didn't know that you had a dog, if, so what type is it? I'm currently cooking sausages (alongside my chicken, he'll get some of that too) for my dog for Monday (to put in his kong when I go to work).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
