I do hope you meant debating in this sentence..
The first point I would make is that you are president of debasing for the whole of Scotland.
Not really up on that sort of letter but spend time on that company's website to see their corporate style, look for their core values and what they stress is important, and what their staff say about themselves and the company. Try and reflect some of that back in your letter.0 -
President of debasing Scotland. Is he Salmond or Sturgeon? Gordon Brown perhaps.0

Dictating on an ipad....No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Bit of a coincidence after that cycle ride in the heat?
Maybe. It does seem to have a lot of virus-like symptoms and symptoms in common with what her Grandmother has.PasturesNew wrote: »Sunstroke, from that bike ride?
It could be but I don't think so as:
1. We didn't set out until almost 5pm
2. Almost the entire route is well shaded by gum trees
3. We drank almost 3l of fluid on the way round and took regular rest breaks
4. It was 32.4C when we set out and 29.3C when we got back which isn't that hot for over here.0 -

OTOH, in proportion to her size, the weight of her bike is going to be greater than yours is to your size. Likewise, rolling resistance. So, she may have been working much harder than you. Terrific girl!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yeah she rides off road tyres and I can tell my rolling resistance is lower as I catch her up while she's pedalling and I'm not.
When we got off bikes to push up the steeper hills (it's a fairly flat ride but not pancake flat) I pushed both bikes.
Yeah she's a real trooper. I don't think I made her sick though. She was fine when we got in last night, it was only this morning she was bad. She ate plenty of carbs to replace what was being used (risotto for dinner last night) and we both drank a lot of water although I think next time I'll carry a separately marked bottle for her so I can confirm exactly how much she's drunk.
That's likely to be the hottest day left this summer. We're hitting the time of year when it cools off a little. That Sunday was about as hot as it gets in February and within a couple of weeks it will be markedly cooler.
Don't forget she's being raised like an Aussie. She'll happily spend a 40C afternoon riding up and down the street. Yes, this was a fair bit more strenuous than that because you can't just decide you're fed up half way through and go into the air con. However, at the ~80% gone stage she had enough energy to want to get off the bike and onto the swings!
I'm hoping to do that ride with both the Generalissimos every weekend at least once or even twice (or an equivalent). I'm hoping to have them able to do a solid 50kms in a day by the start of next summer. Then we can start cycle touring. If you can do 100kms in a weekend or even 120kms if you do a bit after school on Friday then you can get a good distance away. As there are loads of free camp sites around NSW that's a pretty good, cheap weekend holiday right there with some pretty amazing memories to take into adulthood.0 -

When I used to walk my little beach tent to the beach when it was scorching, I knew I could be walking for under 10 minutes, then only just have enough time to put the tent up before I could crawl inside it and lie down, hoping to not pass out..... I felt awful, but didn't have a hat - and it's one of those things you only think about buying when you need one.... so I've never had a hat
And/or I've remembered and looked at hats and they're either pricey or I look a t1t in a hat.
I hate being in direct sun without a hat too. I don't understand how people can do it.0 -
Samsung is warning customers to avoid discussing personal information in front of their smart television set.
Privacy campaigners said the technology smacked of the telescreens, in George Orwell's 1984, which spied on citizens.

Had a scan last week and no obvious reason for jaundice, so will have more blood tests.
Weight loss and reflux unlikely to be linked to jaundice so having a gastrosopy tomorrow. I weighed 8st 9lb last week with BMI of 22.5.
Have lost more this week but not weighed my self. Need to keep weight on now. skin like rhino hide from jaundice, including cracked lips which is not a problem I usually get.0
