There is a thread in relationships forum about whether a ten year old should be able to use a knife in the kitchen. I thought I'd hold back from mentioning I'd been using a machete for years by then :rotfl:

The Boy has been using a 10" chef's knife since he was 4.

Friends abroad have a pedalo style double bath, so you both can face the same way. It includes padded pillows at one end and a pop up TV at the other.

I think that qualifies for a Posh Alert :D

Despite my previous moans I've got the internet back working properly and it's stopped cutting out. I'd asked Virgin to supercharge the broadband from 30 to 50 whatchamacallits and it all went bad for a couple of days.

But we got there in the end.

PN - possible beachy interior makeover coming up on BBC1. Disclaimers - think it's a repeat, and it's one of those amateur makeover programmes. So they might not follow the beachy theme!

This morning fir convinced me to have some cereal with him.

I had a horrid allergic reaction, my lips and tongue got quite big before I manage to take antihistamine, and my lips, which are chapped from not having hot hydration levels right yet, split in a few places. Its difficult to tell but I think they've gone sort of out of shape, staying more swollen on the left than on the right. I know worse things happen at sea and I'm not that worried about it, but its a minor annoyance.

Hope antihistamines take effect quickly and cracks recover soon.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Oh, they work really quickly, the tongue went down. I think swelling left in lips is from the cracking rather than the allergy. My mouth feels up swollen, just a bit blistery and sore, which shouldn't take long.

Pn, the cereal WAS really nice. If I had been more cautious and eaten a bit and waited I might have had less reaction, so my fault!c

Have you worked out what the culprit was?

I use vitamin E oil usually. It works really well, ( if you apply it). Sadly it doesn't magically apply itself. And its sticky stuff.

Ultimately the issue with my lips is I'm still struggling to rehydrate adaquate ly from week before last. :o. Just takes me a while to get back up there because two of my pills have diuretic effect.
