That's really beyond a joke, and now in the category of "unacceptable" and actually "incompetent". Is there really no other practice within a reasonable distance to which you could move?

They failed to put that script up last evening. Its not there this morning. The pharmacist said she'd call/text as soon as its arrived.
The alternatives are extremely limited and I doubt better. ( I have had some really bad gp's over the years....its just you are hearing the journey of this one....my last GP was a shining star). I have extremely limited faith in doctors, most particularly GPs for a reason. I describe it as a phobia, and it suppose it is, but phobias are irrational, and I feel mine is very strongly based in experience and lack of faith, plus an unhealthy dose of prejudice and paranoia. When I actually see this one he is very nice, agrees with me. On the phone last time he said he would sort out what needed sorting.
I appreciate all the time there are more pressing patients, because for all my grumbles I do linger on. I'd always rather if someone is occupying any extra thought its someone who is in acute need at a crucial moment. All I want is for them to do their job on the minutes I see them...the sending things To the RIGHT places, answer my questions frankly and honestly and let me make decisions.
One of the difficulties is now I have become extremely edgy again. I have missed two blood tests because I am so wary. I'm not wary of the blood tests, just the whole issue of 'doctors' and my lack of trust surfacing. I feel like this whole thing is a merry dance in which I am not being given whole Information. This is making me stressed which is not helping my health really.
Fwiw I feel much better today. I don't know what to make for supper though. Fir has been living off cereal and fish eggs, so I have to make him real food.0 -
Now 9 stone 2lb.
All the weight will pile back on when I am well again. The latest loss is 3lb gone in less than a week.not thin by any means but loss of weight from face and sallow skin tone is making me look different.

Doesn't have to Spirit, after all, you are doing less now, have the same hormones and stuff. The jaundice won't be impacting on your darling features, and hopefully will clear up soon..
However, i thought you were gorgeous looking, those beautiful fine features, a warm smile and bright cleaver eyes. However you end up looking, you'll be lovely looking in my opinion.
Hmm, marmite on the way back up yet? That'll be interesting. :rotfl: no idea what it will taste like! I'm not surprised though, lots of what you are eating has a sweetish taste..
Oh huh, just had a thought! Fish mousse, like a light pate? That would probably be swallow able too! Or you could mash some fish in your spuds for a sort of reflux friendly faux fish cake.
I think I have found a niche in life. Finding food suggestions for the eating impaired. :rotfl:0 -

There'd definitely be a living to be made over here doing that. Brits are, understandably, averse to spending even more on their health having already paid taxes through the nose.
Why do we pay something through the nose?0 -

Nutritionists would do a better job. I'm just assuming that Spirit will be helped soon or given advice, and that any ideas can be ignored or see if they might fill a flavour gap/ help in the short term..

.
We are plagued with dieticians here. They have all the qualifications of a witch yet feel able to spout rowlocks about 'acid diets' and why eliminating entire food groups from your diet is apparently a good idea.
I'm positive that this 'acid diet' malarky is going to lead to the return of scurvy as some idiot decides that cutting out fruit and veg is the way forward.0
