e an ailment you clearly don't you'll end up in a private clinic that will waste their time and yours at $100/visit, a doctor that will play to your need to be sick rather than your sickness.
There is no perfect health care system, just different flaws IMHO.
There is also the question of what it is reasonable to expect public purse to treat.
Personally I feel we shouldn't expect to have the health of athletes but to be up, running and able to work on the public purse on a national health system....including so
Me preventative health measures ...vaccination, screenings etc ....anything that proves economically sensible.
However, just because its not right a public use treats it, doesn't mean its not there. You might fall with in normal parameters, but 'could be better for you'. If you can afford thT privately IMO we should have the right and ability to knock our socks out. Particularly as norms for so etchings are different in different places and disputed. Similarly, norms of some things will never be right for others.0 -
I know that the plural of anecdote isn't data but I don't get treated anything like that by an urban GP in Aus. The reason? I get to go to see whichever one I want and they get paid as a result of me seeing them.
If they annoy me then I find a new GP and the old GP stops getting paid.

The biggest gap here is physiotherapy.
As an example my BIL busted up his leg playing soccer/football. He went to A&E and they got him up on his feet. He then had to limp around for a few months whilst he saved up for physio to get him back out in the middle of the park.
He 'worked' insofar as he could walk and was generally pain free. He couldn't enjoy his hobby (not living) of footie though.
He could have taken up swimming or (as he did) cycling perfectly well. He was hardly left to rot in the middle of the street.
Anyhoo, datum isn't anecdote.0 -

Sounds pretty fair. Could work and live in relative pain free circumstance and could pay for physio for further hobby purposes. Would be good to see better collective access to some things like physio, through gyms etc I guess, for cost efficiency for people.
Hmmm Dentists.:o:o.

Floppy Discs
Eldest SS has just built himself a high-spec desktop PC. When I asked him if he was getting an optical drive for it he looked at me as if I was from another planet.
If I showed him an audio tape he'll probably have me carted off to a home.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Eldest SS was playing Rugby for his county, and got invited to a trial with the Newport Gwent Dragons as he has Welsh heritage and was part of the WRU system. Blew his knee out the week before playing for his club and that was all she wrote. He still plays occasionally at a much lower level but doesn't enjoy it anymore, as he takes it too seriously and doesn't enjoy the urine drinking that his University pals like to indulge in.
He wants to give up, but I tell him he may not be able to get around the pitch like he once could, but when he does arrive at a ruck at the right time, nobody will move him or get the ball back once he has his hands on it.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Goodness, its so cold today that the dog meat ( taken out this time yesterday) hasn't defrosted properly in its heavy casserole dish. They have had some mango as an appetiser while they waited for me to make it into a tepid and disgusting soup.0

A couple get to benefit from the top rate/s twice.
I was also struggling to get the accounts I did have under control and registered to whatever addresse/s I was living at, or lodging my mail at. They weren't times when I was settled, things were often chaotic.0 -

Not when one is a higher rate taxpayer and the other is a non tax payer. Luckily we have an agreement, I earn the money and she spends it. Recently I have found that it is very lucrative to put the DKs to work as childrens savings rates seem to be much higher than adultsI think....0
