Yodel.
Bizarre twitter conversation where it seems normal that I should be tramping the perimeter of my land in dark and snow for a parcel which was left in the 'back porch' I don't own, while someone was in the house.
No card, just a self-congratulatory email telling me they'd left my parcel somewhere safe - and dropped a card in. So safe, I cannot find it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I think they sit in the office and open the parcels, while the Work Experience boy's sent out with a bunch of postcards bearing random addresses.0 -

Mine are usually in my neighbours porch. You know how close that is :rotfl:
Want me to check with them in the morning see if yours is there too? :rotfl:0 -
My hair is very fine and I use my tangle teezer, which I find very effective.I assume you've tried a tangle teezer?
Sorry I never got back to you about this. I got her one for Christmas. It has made all the difference. We now have four, so that there's still one to use even if three have been temporarily mislaid. So thanks v much, hjd. :T

The card has been put through the front door of the house with the back porch where they have left the parcel, because when they rang the bell at that house, there was nobody in.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I doubt the two are connected, but something's on the move, for some reason, somewhere.
UK airspace/ATC has to accept a certain number of military surveillance flights from Russia per year. Don't know the details, but it was something set up nearing the end of the cold war.
A few years ago there was a joint Swedish/Georgian operation as one of the accepted numbers, under a military agreement known as 'Open Skies' (which is nothing to do with the civil agreement).
Russia has to accept 42 per year, so the UK are welcome into Russian airspace, subject to quotas.
Leeds was a success on Tuesday, but I'm not going to say more until I know exactly what the situation is.💙💛 💔0 -

Ah yes Yodel. Their previous safe places chez moi have included inside a recycling box that had been put out for recycling and inside my bin shed. The latter was a complete mystery as it was locked and they don't have a key. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? My p and m went for a winter holiday in the Soviet Union one Christmas. It was fascinating from a lot of angles. They noticed that the plane really hugged the ground as it flew from Glasgow to Edinburgh as if it was filming the terrain.
I was very unchuffed when they were due to return. I drove to the airport unsure if their plane would be there as the Red Army chose to invade Afghanistan so I'd imagined they'd have closed their airports and sealed their borders. Nothing of the sort -they returned happy and oblivious of the war,(as was everybody they'd met).
They'd asked for a British newspaper during their stay. The hotel staff had said of course and fetched them the the scissored remains of The Morning Star with the errors cut out. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
