I like offal,we can go months without eating any then have several dishes in a week. On Saturday I had a pub lunch with friends and chose HM faggots with mushy peas, mash and gravy. One night last week we had lambs liver and smoked bacon for dinner.
I continue to lose weight, another 1lb this week. I was just trying to ensure i did not gain as I am more sedentary and would not help my rehab or mood. I was 10 st 13 and am now 9st 5. bottom half dropped from 16 to 12. yesterday size 14 jeans were falling down. Not really cut anything out, nor following a regime just smaller quantities I think.
I went for 2 walks in the woods yesterday about 3/4 mile first walk and second walk a brief afternoon dog walk. On a track so uneven stoney ground which is quite a challenge still for me.I need to build up some leg muscles as they feel weak, tire easily and look thin and fleshy:eek:
Physio has just been. I can now stand with hands together behind my back. Shoulder moving Hurrah.
Great news that you are getting more mobile, I'm so pleased for you.
When you're sick IMHO it's sometimes good to carry a little spare weight so you have something in reserve. As I did 0 years at medical school my views should be viewed accordingly however.
I'm a big fan of liver and bacon with mashed potatoes and red wine gravy. NOM!!! Mum used to do a great liver casserole that I've never quite managed to replicate. Came close once about 20 years ago.0 -
I'm the opposite, bought sandwiches are difficult for me as you pay the price of 3 loaves of bread for two slices and a tiny bit of filling so I look for the most calories in the hope that at least after spending all that money I might feel full....
Then again I am probably the least active person on the NPT, eat 2.5k calories a day and barely put on weight, such is the luck of the genes / the perils of not coping with stress.
I would probably be a lot less active than you, bearing in mind I can't walk for any distance without major pain (even to the car parked right outside is blooming painful). Compared to years ago when I would stomp for miles with no worries, it is a bit of a comedown.
However, my calories pre diet were under the recommended amount just to keep my weight stable, the recommended amount would have me put weight on fairly briskly!
Of course, there would be occasions when I would throw caution to the wind and indulge but as long as I pulled it back quickly, the weight would stay stable.
James on the other hand needs much much more than the recommended amount to keep weight on, several times more in fact. If he had twice the recommended, he would lose weight at a rate of knots...blooming annoying if you ask me, he can sit there and eat truckfulls of food and lose weight and I have to be content with eating next to nothing and put on weight.
And they say there is no such thing as a slow metabolism.......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

The one I most hate for some reason is when people talk about anti-burglar grills, when they mean grilles. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Josh has had two invitations for uni interviews now, unfortunately, they are both on the same day, within half an hour of each other and about 150 miles between the two.
He has also lost over 6.5lbs this week in weight.....go Josh! As they say at college. We made it! Presumably it will be possible to re-arrange one of them? Well done to Josh on the weight loss. I haven't dare weigh since Christmas - got given chocs, but we've nearly finished them, and then it's no more indulgences before my birthday in August.:rotfl:

Just letting you all know I'm not doing well today and might not be around for a few days. I expect to bounce back, and might be fine later, but if I'm like this tomorrow will have to see someone urgently as I'm pretty dehydrated and am failing to resolve at home.0
