It went very well. Now we just need to see if I'm what they're after.

Thought zag had gone quiet and then saw this on another thread:
And don't step outside on pavements in Scotland in case you slip on the black ice, break a limb, go to A and E, operating theatre, recovery room and miss your flight back to London.
    Apologies for radio silence.

    Hope you are recovering well!

Yes, I saw that on the news a bit later. Bit of a surprise! Only 60.

I'd better get this house in order as it'll be my time soon at this rate!

What interesting way do you want to die? You must keep up the family tradition. I was talking to an 83 year old man on Sunday, and he said "I want to be stabbed to death ................................. by a jealous lover." :)

Thanks for the good wishes. This is nothing like as serious or enduring as what others have had to put up with here. Have to type one-handed for a while, that's all. Will have to take train back instead of plane, because of the cast.

DW wants to meet me at the station but don't know if that's practical around C London due to parking.:(

You won't be the last person using the Internet with one hand!

Hope you're okay though. Being sick isn't a competition!

I'd call the station to explain the situation. There should be somewhere a car can be pulled up temporarily.

And/or get the first taxi to go about a mile or so, somewhere like a big shop car park, or open space, where you can have DW waiting.

Luggage depending, she could even park a mile away, walk to the station, help you with luggage, then catch a taxi together back to wherever it was that she managed to park.

I think we should ban the use of 'its not as bad as what others on herehave had...':

Very expensive to park there, but it is possible, and it's handy for King's X.

Or, if you are coming into Euston, http://www.apcoa.co.uk/parking-in/london/london-euston-station.html
