One article online says in six months:

"encourages a rapid, dramatic and transformative one-time organising event completed methodically and lovingly in no more than six months."

So do it in six months, not as an ongoing lifestyle forever, without end.

Ah, 6 months is more like it. I could never finish a room in one day, I would do one corner or one little bit and that would be it for the day. If I had been more mobile, I suppose I could have got the one room done in a day.

It wouldn't be every day either, decluttering for that small time on one day would leave me incapable of doing anything else for a couple of days....so very very slow progress.

Good thing my house is not that big, it is one of the smallest 3 bedroom houses I have ever known!

In my house, if I declutter a small area one day and aim to do some more the next day, I find that the original area has been recluttered by the time I go to do the next bit. Sometimes I'm the culprit, but there are others in my house who reclutter it much more dramatically and more rapidly than I do.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

NP Shoppers i need to buy an armchair for me. I need something that I can get in and out of with ease. Think old people.
    Specifically short old people.
I have looked at JL and Multi york and there is nothing that looks suitable. Nothing bespoke or costing a fortune as I hope i will only need it for this year. Recommendations?/Suggestions?

Tub chairs? Argos do some that my friend finds comfortable.

Things I find hard to explain about being me. Just here, minding my own business.

Infact, reading a book. Nothing hurts or anything and have had great mobility day. Go to stand up.....no right knee.

No indication I had no right knee till I wanted it to engage.

I'm perfectly fine, I can get about like this to take dogs out later and stuff, I'll use my stick, but its annoying. it might only last ten minutes. Its very annoying.

So someone sees me now the. Sees me perfectly sound tomorrow, ....one feels like a fraud.

The trouble with burnout is that it is insidious - you have no idea until everything starts piling up. I was definitely exhausted and frazzled last year following on from the dual demands of international haulage and even more so, Mr Bugs gradual demise over 3 years.

If you fell that you should worry about it, then you definitely should, possibly more than you are doing. Try just tackling one thing at a time, the sleep being the obvious. I just cannot function well if I am up after 10.00 more than occasionally ( 5.15 wake up) and enjoy going to bed with all the little routines that entails. Just try going to bed at 11.30 if you aren't going to bed earlier, see if that small change would help.

Thank you bugslet. I think I had better try achieving the midnight idea first before trying to move it any earlier. So far I am failing hopelessly even at that. :(
I'm far too despairing not to try now! :rotfl:

Whereas I am more or less at the "can't even contemplate beginning" stage.

V uncomfortable. I hate feeling a fraud when there's something in my life that people won't realise about. :(

    At least we don't think you're a fraud! :)

Well, I will say that I think I cleared a lot more today doing things by category than by area, even in a distilled version,

A small revelation perhaps? We'll see. I have kept some stuff I don't find joy in, mainly because I was getting tired. I think it would be easier to do with a strict friend.

I better go and see where kiwi is hiding and rustle them out for a walk.

I can totally agree with that. Certain things are too private to be shared and I don't want sympathy when sometimes the mask slips.

Not a Corrie fan, but it started 10 minutes ago on ITV - and tonight's the Minibus Crash - a "big story" in Corrie land.

Even bigger story in Corrie land, Deidre has died :(

I have a second interview today at 11am for a really interesting (internal) job. It even has a built in promotion after ~2 years as it's a job share with a 70+ y/o.

I once watched an entire episode of Corrie in about 1988. Never felt the need to do that again.

I've been contemplating a roll of toilet paper for a while, but sadly I just don't seem to have feelings for it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
