So, if I had to interview him, I'd ask him about ... *wikipedia loaded* .... how much fun was Fawlty Towers and Last of the Summer Wine.... whether he preferred doing Radio work (Father Brown), or TV work .... or the movies (which he also did a little bit of). And get something from the book to extract more from.
But, let's not forget, the BBC is not an advertising channel and while it's not possible to mention he eats Cadbury's chocolate (maybe), he can be wheeled out to promote his book. This has always annoyed me, that a lot of the morning news is somebody promoting something. His publishers and he will have dictated what was to be covered/not and approved as part of the PR machine for the book.
You would make an excellent interviewer, doing all that research beforehand.
I'm not too sure about that last point about the interviewee dictating what questions are put to him? I think the BBC would regard that as an editorial decision, not for outside control. So, if the interview was mainly about telephone calls, that may well be because that's what the BBC wanted the interview to be about. Even though, as you pointed out, there are many other things that could be asked. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I was going to have a stirfry last night but RP didn't want it and I felt the kitchen was crowded.
I'm really hungry this morning and trying to decide whether I'd eat stirfry for brunch. Maybe.0 -
No apology necessary michaels
I hope it can all be sorted out to everyone's satisfaction. When you're still recovering yourself it makes everything feel even worse than it is.

Stir fry sounds good for breakfast. I just had toast with banana, and your choice is much healthier. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I had a look at the policy, and on the plus side at least you are not taking advantage of 'Upto £2,500perinsuredpersontowardsthecostof yourfuneralor cremationinthecountryinwhich death occurs.' Every cloud, etc.
Would your doctor advise that club class travel is necessary? Maybe because you need to be able to lie down, in your exhausted state?
Good grief, doesn't it cover repatration? :eek:0 -
I need some of those better ways of thinking today.
Just been feeling unhappy and anxious since hearing about the flight thang, just feels like the final nail. Insurance company are not very good, I had thought it was a premium product with nationwide flex plus but the case handlers are pretty random, never return calls and don't listen to my concerns and explain what is going on. Last night I didn't need a doctors letter saying I was for to fly, this morning I do. They have no interest in exploring options to get me upgraded flights and they were the ones who had no interest in trying to reschedule my original flights before they expired when that would have been the cheapest and best way to get us home.
Sorry if all my posts are me me me, I apologise for finding it hjard to empathise with you lot when I feel so far away.
No worries, we all need a little 'woe is me' now and again.0 -

Healthy yes. Just worried it will be too filling.
I've had a decaf coffee instead. ( I'm pottering about and will do something soon to rectify this)
Fridays are awkward because I always eat on them with fir, but eat LATE. Time ing everything else can be tricky.
I fancy a grapefruit but don't have any.0 -
