    George Clark?

TV architect bloke. Full of wooly lines and the sort of architect who thinks it only counts if you've gone bankrupt doing the job. Turns up on site, suggests some changes you could make. Then pops off to do some research on it.

Turns up a couple of times, talking doom and gloom about what they've done/progress etc .... then, turns up when they've completed and gives them a bound book of the restoration, with the history of their building and various photos taken en-route from start to finish.

Cue champagne being opened and end of programme.

He was on last night. From up north, so he talks funny: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Clarke_%28architect%29

    Feeling a little miserable.

Insurance co have relented on the you have to go via Dubai line but have now dropped the you are only covered for economy bombshell. This was pretty much a trip of a lifetime and the reason for splashing the extra on club was not being able to face travelling overnight in economy so the thought of doing so while feeling carp is so far from appealing. Rewind to last Saturday when we were trying to suggest to the insurance company that we should be rescheduling our existing booking before the departure time and they were totally uninterested saying they would rebook us when we knew we were fit to fly.

So not only has the whole holiday been a disaster but we are going to have to do the journey from hill that I paid a fortune to avoid having to do in the first place.
    I think....

Gerard Depardieu is definitely on my list of "what on earth is everyone on about?" along with Brian Cox.

Oldham lad, so he's ok in my book.

I think my ideal woman would be Natalie Portman, but there's nothing unusual in that.

Trying to look to the positive, at least once you've got the journey out of the way, you'll all be back home :)

I take it that you are satisfied that they are right about their interpretation of the policy?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I'd post on the insurance board, see if that is a fair interpretation of the rules. To be fair, I thought you flew business because you got a deal that made it affordable if you went indirect. You could always explain at check-in and see if they will upgrade you, or at least ask for an upgrade price.

Do you have access to the T&Cs? Just because they say that doesn't make it right.

At worst, economy isn't as bad as it used to be. My advice if you have to go cattle? Get some diazipam and a couple of glasses of wine inside you.
