That was all they spoke about, essentially. He was just over the top, considering it should have gone away from our view a long time ago.
Just gooogled him and the second entry is an excerpt from said autobiography, published in the Daily Mail from Feb 2014. A full breakdown of the whole affair.
"To be honest, the whole Brand/Ross saga remains a painful experience that we’d very much like to put behind us. But it keeps resurfacing."
Funny how things resurface when we keep talking about them. I didn't know what they said to his answerphone, but I know now, because AS was early so devastated, he shares it in said autobiography. And puts it in the papers to sell said autobiography. Articles which are accompanied by photographs of his grandchild posing in a rather provocative manner. And the words:
"Extracted from I Know Nothing by Andrew Sachs, published by The Robson Press on February 20 at £20. © Andrew Sachs 2014. To order a copy for £16.99..."
So angry and upset by it's refusal to go away that he parades it for cash.
Cynical.
Where would the BBC be if they could not get free interviews off celebs in return for promoting their books? Frankly, not that many people are going to be interested in the Sachs autobiography, and I am not surprised that the interview was mainly about the phone calls. If you were interviewing him, what else would you talk about?
I'm impressed that he is still so active at the age of 84. He is still performing, and still in demand for voice overs. Apparently, since the telephone saga, he and his wife have been estranged from their granddaughter, so it's not been a joyful experience for him and his family. Frankly, looking at a picture of the granddaughter, she and Brand have quite a lot in common when it comes to unfanciableness. She's probably got a heart of gold, though. Hopefully. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You have also been awake for a long time!
Yes but I had been asleep for several hours during the day yesterday.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Sleep hypnosis ( lots free on you tube, most no good for me, but so e really good ones) help me a lot.
Sometimes sleep hypnosis is too 'obvious' so I do one for something else and drift off to that. Hint. One designed to encourage you laugh uncontrollably is not that restful.0 -

Imagine a career you are proud of and being known to a generation of consumers as just the has been grandad of conquest of just another of Brand's slappers. So disrespected that the two odious men, both bbc darlings of the moment, can treat you with such disrespect.
I can imagine being really upset by it.
Potentially it represents deep hurts in what the guy feels about how family lives, ( not his business but still disappointing) about how society is, about how an industry he was a part of is now, and where he has dropped to. I can even imagine ( in a world where I feel we can be a little thin skinned) people are diagnosed with PTSD for such if it provoked.0 -
Feeling a little miserable.
Insurance co have relented on the you have to go via Dubai line but have now dropped the you are only covered for economy bombshell. This was pretty much a trip of a lifetime and the reason for splashing the extra on club was not being able to face travelling overnight in economy so the thought of doing so while feeling carp is so far from appealing. Rewind to last Saturday when we were trying to suggest to the insurance company that we should be rescheduling our existing booking before the departure time and they were totally uninterested saying they would rebook us when we knew we were fit to fly.
So not only has the whole holiday been a disaster but we are going to have to do the journey from hill that I paid a fortune to avoid having to do in the first place.
Oh noI'm so sorry michaels, especially when you've been so poorly.
It reminds me a bit of when we went on a Saga trip to NZ, one poor lady got DVT after we arrived and although she was able to fly home with the rest of us, she was upgraded to Club because she had to be able to keep her leg elevated, but the insurance company wouldn't upgrade her husband, so they had to spend most of the journey home sitting in different places.0 -
I need some of those better ways of thinking today.
Just been feeling unhappy and anxious since hearing about the flight thang, just feels like the final nail. Insurance company are not very good, I had thought it was a premium product with nationwide flex plus but the case handlers are pretty random, never return calls and don't listen to my concerns and explain what is going on. Last night I didn't need a doctors letter saying I was for to fly, this morning I do. They have no interest in exploring options to get me upgraded flights and they were the ones who had no interest in trying to reschedule my original flights before they expired when that would have been the cheapest and best way to get us home.
Sorry if all my posts are me me me, I apologise for finding it hjard to empathise with you lot when I feel so far away.I think....0 -

I had a look at the policy, and on the plus side at least you are not taking advantage of 'Upto £2,500perinsuredpersontowardsthecostof yourfuneralor cremationinthecountryinwhich death occurs.' Every cloud, etc.
Would your doctor advise that club class travel is necessary? Maybe because you need to be able to lie down, in your exhausted state? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
35th wedding anniversary coming up. On the plus side, DW does not like coral, and is still in mourning for her mum, so unable to accept gifts. Bunch of flowers it is, then. Very MSE.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
