    Bit windy today.... :)

I had an interesting cycle home from work this evening, having been blown to work this morning ... at one point it was far safer to get off and push rather than be swirled around. It's the effect of the wind blustering around between shops either side of the road, as much as the actual strength of the wind.
Crikey, I've been given the task of arranging the Limo for eldest daughter's Prom in July. Her and 10 mates!

    What a minefield!!!

Glad to hear you're probably sorted - good luck

Lir is quite right, I would be fine (prefer?) to fly on my own but don't think it is fair for DW to fly with 3 kids and baggage, one of whom is not great health wise either. Issue seems to be resolved as doc has given very firm opinion that I am not fit to fly and said he will also certify DS the same as he is also on antibiotic so now we need to get him to send forms to insurance co in the morning and see what they do next.

Sorry to hear you won't be fit to fly, but at least the decision seems to have been made for you, so you don't have the anxieties around making the right decision. I hope both you and your son get better asap, and that the insurance company makes a decision fast about what they will offer or not.

When were you scheduled to return?

Thing is, my eldest doesn't have a lot to look forward to. Constant trips back and forth to the hospital with Daisy, her home turned into a mini-hospital!!

Can't really begrudge her the chance to get all dressed up in a pretty dress and take a ride in Limo can I ?? 😊

Regardless of what was done in the old days, this is her time and no one has to justify joining in and buying the prom dream for a night.

As to Limo safety, I am sure you will find one you are happy with. The press is not full of Limo disaster stories.

Has anyone else got the dodgy weather tonight?

I've had to put the London bar on the front door as it sounded like it was going to blow of its hinges.

Not me, well, not that I am aware of. It's a bit blowy out there, but not what I'd call notably strong/different. Although wind is directional, so maybe I'm just being lucky right now.

I have just turned the heating on though, as it turned a bit nippy.

We found there were a lot of cowboys in the limo business and it wasn't easy to separate the wheat from the chaff. Got done with the one DD used (not booked by us) - they never turned up; one of the limos booked for someone else fitted them in at the end but it really wasn't a nice experience.

Most impact was made by those who turned up having hitched a lift on a fire engine. Does rather depend on knowing a firefighter and on the appliance not being called out at the relevant time!

Well we live near Heathrow and have a car so would be happy to help out if needed, depending what your travel arrangements are.

That is a very kind offer but we are already planning on a taxi having flown out of a different airport and of course I wouldn't want to share an enclosed space with an np at the moment...

Having felt semi human at the docs this afternoon I felt carp again this evening so glad I am not flying at this time tomorrow as booked although a lot of me has had enough of the whole thing and just wants to be at home asap.

Glad the gen is home safely, hope lir has jot been blown away to Kansas
    I think....
