I think its rare these things are one sided. Even if its because one side has been a communication fail. I echo the previous suggestions tbh.

I'm awake, not because I hurt or the weather is bad, neither are the case, I'm just awake. Shrug. I used to be like this. :). Won't be feeling so lively in the morning I bet. :)

I'm awake because I just got in

Nothing to get excited about, just potted over to a friend's about 5:30ish, and a bottle of wine, some snacks and a natter and here I am.

    :)

I agree with Doozergirl (whose post I have only just seen because I had X-posted with it).

I also agree with Masomnia. ;)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I'm awake because... Well I'd normally be awake at this time on Friday......

But other than that Mrs McT opened a bottle of my favourite wine, cooked my favourite dinner, poured me a few glasses of single malt, and let me smoke a damn good cigar indoors tonight.... as we lost rather a lot of money today thanks to the remarkable weather.

    But....C'est la vie.

It's of no importance really, just things and money, but it was very nice of her to do that for me. Certainly improved my humour no end. :)

Nice day here actually. 34C with a gentle breeze.

    Bad joke:

I took the wife to the docs as she thought she had Tourettes. In the end it turned out that I am a $&/^ and I can &^#/ off.
