It's really windy here. Not a good time to live on top of a hill, but I've seen it worse. It's a bit of a light show. Random things flying around, setting off our or the neighbours' PIR lights. I may listen to some sleep music tonight in order to drown out God's orchestra doing their thrash metal set. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Keep meaning to say that I like your new sig Lydia. If it makes just one person change what they do, how amazing would that be?Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I never read sigs, probably why I've not got one. If I wrote one it'd be a bumper sticker I saw a few decades ago: Don't follow me, I'm lost too.0 -

It looks like I'm protected from the wind as it's coming from SWW. Overnight it'll change to coming from the West at 35km/h, with 56km/h gusts. However, I am in a wind tunnel, so that might he higher in my garden, or not as I'm protected again maybe.
It says it's gusted to 83 km/h here today.
It says yours is 37 km/h and will increase to 41 by 5am. It'll be coming to you from WSW all that time. After that it'll die down to about where it is now by lunchtime tomorrow.
its coming from SE ish here.0 -
So there is a Relate type organisation where you are. I really think it might help. Even if it doesn't, I think it's far better to try than let things slip without having found some additional tools to try to ease communication.
My favourite saying is 'If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.' Something needs to be different. Even if one person goes and offloads, it can help to talk.
Or it can help cope with the worst eventuality, but I suspect you owe each other a fair chance.
Will delete if asked.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thank you.
I have been meaning to tell you that my new sig was 100% inspired by yours.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I think its rare these things are one sided. Even if its because one side has been a communication fail. I echo the previous suggestions tbh.
I'm awake, not because I hurt or the weather is bad, neither are the case, I'm just awake. Shrug. I used to be like this.. Won't be feeling so lively in the morning I bet.

Heh... DQWD
I'm still a night owl no matter how much the corporate world tries to beat it out of me. Give me 24 hrs off and I revert to night times.
Can't shake it. Must have been a vampire in a previous life. (or a muso in an earlier version of this one, like some others around here...)

I only found true happiness when I met someone I'd happily give up anything for. And as it turns out they'd do the same for me. Which leads to a lot of honest conversations, mutual satisfaction, and very few real arguments. (But a lot of healthy communication)
When the love you feel for someone transcends any material concerns by an order of magnitude, then arguments about practicalities or mundane living concerns become completely redundant, and bickering about such things is of no relevance or point. You just find the best compromise based on mutual love and understanding of priorities.
In that case being in love with and married to that person is the easiest thing in the world..... A lesson I wish I learned many decades ago.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
