Arrrrggghgghhhhhhhhhhhh Gen. Just Arrrrrrgggghhhhh... Thought I'd scream for you as doing so at an airport may get you offloaded. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Given the way things are looking right now, I think it would get me offed, not just offloaded.0 -
All resolved with a couple of slightly fraught phone calls. Flight is now delayed natch.
Phew!
Hope the flight isn't delayed too long.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
You could just get on a plane once upon a time. Yes you'd occasionally end up in Tehran or Karachi but the odds were reasonably low.
I was on one of those ('detour' to Karachi). I was young, Somewhere between nine to eleven I think. I am trying to remember ( and failing) to remember where I was coming to and going from. Think departure was either Singapore or LA and intended arrival would have been Skippol or London. More likely London. Think I have only been through Skippol once. But cannot remember. Frustrating.

What I've narrowed it down to is: 3.5L, oval, with an on/off light
Linky was for local drop off points.

Just the thought of a flight taking 24 hours makes me go Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh! Adding a day milling around at the airport would make me homicidal. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I haven't spent a lot of time in airports in recent years....or in lots of the airports I used to spent time in. But certainly the smarter squarer luggage lots of people have is less comfy that the squashy sausage bag I used to have( acted as a pillow or a bolster).
And think how ebooks must have changed the boredom. My problem was the short period I was traveling where easy jet were saying the one bag rule to include no duty free bag so....not enough room for my whsmith splurge...which with a delay I would have read...so what do you do....leave newly purchased but read books?0 -

Faced with long delays at an airport we have treated ourselves to a PAYG lounge.
