I've pulled some muscle in my back. It's the big one behind the left shoulderbone. Hurts like heck. Been trying to get comfy and hoping it'll go away all morning. Been trying out all sorts of positions to put my arm into so it stops hurting as it hurts all the time, without moving. Sometimes I get some positions where it doesn't hurt, but then they're unsustainable.
one of the reasons I'd like you to get a good bed.

Might it be something like a pinched nerve?

Have you registered at that doctors yet?

Maybe picking a doctor could be something you prioritise to shut up that bossy moo on the np thread for a while?

have you tried one of those heat gel/ointments from the chemist, they can be quite helpful, though possibly you would struggle to apply it unless you are very bendy!

I find when I am busy and pressed on time, any concept of healthy eating goes right out of the window:(

    Same here.

We're really pressed this week, and that's not helping matters.

No - and, as you say, I'd not be able to reach. That was always a nuisance in the summer - can't apply sun cream to your back :)

Healthy eating is adding a portion of mushy peas to the pie/chips :)

I find a lot of students have swallowed the myth that eating early makes you put on less weight than eating in the evening. If you eat the same calories at different times its equally likely to put on the pounds.

It takes a bit of explaining that people who hold off eating till the evening are going to eat worse food than is eaten earlier in the day. Nobody feels like a bran muffin or a light salad when they've been denying themselves food for a long day.

    .

Various people my weight gain ( a bizarre symptom) have disagreed. Its not that the calories change but that the hormones that are involved in dealing with a lot of how we process have diurnal rhythym. ( this I understand from my own previous work) Its for that reason, for example, that breakfast its surprisingly important for good 'metabolism ' ina modern lifestyle. Similarly as recently as last year (? ) I was told something fascinating about basal metabolic rate that I don't recall reading...or at least taking on board or understanding, before and that I have never seen on popular media about weight loss and infact flies in the face of what we seemed to understand.

Unfortunately when I 'be tried to put in writing before it hasn't worked very well. I can explain it with an envelope and a pen to draw the little curve graph and then repeat what I was told. Its something I keep meaning to read more about, but don't.
