I trust you far more than I trust someone who buys a phone locked to a UK network when they live abroad....and them makes out it is my fault they are not paying and I shouldn't tell Ebay!
I'm not replying to him, he can either pay or not pay.
Thank you.
Only one person in the whole Milan office expects to be given the lei. ( this includes some seriously respected people). It would be given automatically out of respect to many but brushed away quickly 'don't give me this lei , I'm not so old' or ' please, give me the tu'
Hmm.....actually, I might have misinterpreted it. ( voi is a plural)
Calling fir.
He says now its clear this person is southern, from the voi. ( equivalent to my use of you all in southern states. He confirms it is rude but not quite how I read it.
He says the interp is that they are doing everything right don't you tell me I'm doing it wrong kinda attitude. So he confirms I was reading stroppy and voi 'correctly' but also incorrectly.. ( for confirms if stroppy ness is a reason not to reply his interpretation is they are being stroppy)

Totally unrelated to your comment, I did suggest to DW at various points over the last few months that the best solution for our car would be for her to 'acidentally' scrape all the panels down one side on a fence post resulting in the car being written off.
Perhaps Gen could do that for with his lack of British no claims discount. Only if he doesn't need it soon.
Was I supposed to suggest that?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Of course there is
How is Mr. Spirit doing?
Mr Spirit is doing very well and probably too much. he is fully weight bearing but cannot twist his knee, probably about another 4 weeks until he is mended. sadly he cannot play tennis on it so a good social outlet is currently off limits.
Tonight he has been wrapping presents for my team, tey are coming over tomorrow and we are going for lunch near here as I will miss our usual Christmas outing...A pub lunch followed by a 3 mile walk across the New Forest ten finish back at the pub. They are the best Christmas do ever.0 -
not sure if I posted about taps, but I have a recent quality fail with bristan so thought i would share it.
we have good quality taps, Perrin & !!!! for sinks and a now spare bath set.the shower is bristan, and this week the the white lever for shower on/off snapped and broke within the "chrome" fitting. turns out this piece is plastic, so having a plastic section in between two metal sections seems a recipe for wear and tear. OH ordered a piece from the Bristan website , he could not complete the transaction so called the orderline which took almost an hour to answer. it is now ordered though and the part is just shy of £29, so not pricey.
If it's under warranty they should send a man out to replace it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Pretty sure my knee is starting to feel better.
I just tried the stairs and good knee had enough oomph and 'bad' knee enough stability to let me sort of let it try to lead up a few of the steps instead of going up one stair at a time.0 -

'Admin group drinks' ( secretary and those who use her' and then 'Christmas lunch'. This all seems a lot of celebration to me.
I've got whole school staff Christmas party tomorrow evening (paid for by school), physics dept Christmas lunch on Tuesday (we eat in usual canteen and pay for ourselves but all sit together on table just for physics), Science Christmas lunch on Friday (teachers pay for cleaners and technicians to come for free), and Head of Science drinkies for various people he and his wife know next Thursday evening.
Current front runner in the kitchen tap stakes is this one.
Opinions please??Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
