Well I just about made it through the afternoon. Have retreated back to the hotel and had a big cry. Feeling rather sorry for myself. Need to snap out of it and get on with some work.
You could just ask your supervisor some detailed and very complex questions. Then, he'll be avoiding you, rather than you avoiding him.
I'm not into tattoos at all, but some sort of semi-permanent marking on my wrist saying JFDI would be good. I must get round to that one day .....
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Sounds like you are doing the right things. Sometimes a good cry is healthy...let's it out.
Now you need to put something good in there...work some but also something nice....film on demand in room? Or is there good tv in room? Is bed good? Any one else cool at conference?0 -
I am watching the final of the decorating show.
Hurrah. I remembered one.0 -

Ah so, Veneto still? It must be very beautiful in those mountains I imagine.
I've not been to Treviso.
.
There are more places one doesn't get to than one does.
There are places I. The mountains where the speciality dishes are huge dumplings. I always thought that would be cool. But didn't get to them.0 -
I've messaged back that he needs to go through his ebay to pay via paypal and also filed a non payer note with ebay, hopefully that will prompt him to sort his problem out.

Lydia, there are lots of these spray type taps on amazon from about £35 upwards. I find the looks a bit too industrial for my taste, especially considering that taps ought to last twenty or thirty years at least. In a few years, they may go out of fashion and become the kitchen equivalent of avocado bathroom suites.
I agree. I would prefer something non-industrial where the pull out bit is non-obvious except in use. I know I want levers rather than turning handles, but do I want just one lever like this
or two like this? That's what I'm considering now.Doozergirl wrote: »re: taps.
I have enjoyed the pointable squirt taps before. They are useful for washing up large items as you can usually rinse them without flooding the work surface and floor.
But I am not a fan of cheap unbranded taps. There's a thread on the DIY board with the destroyed result of cheap fittings after a few years. I've had experience of a kitchen tap that didn't even manage that long. Not a terrible drama, but they invariably don't last.
We've had one like this from this brand before:

But I'd be looking for something with a really good weight to it and a sensible length of guarantee.
Bristan, for example, have very good customer service. They will come out a rectify problems for a fee which they refund if the tap is faulty. http://www.bristan.com/kitchentaps
Thanks. V helpful.
We once got an 'interactive' doggy toy similar to this one
Doggy is supposed to move the sliders to uncover the treat. Our westie didn't really get along with it, he just sniffed it, then sat down and started whining until one of us pushed the slider hiding the treat.
Hey ho, at least I got some mental stimulation out of it.
We got Avatar dog a toy that was a ball, about 6" in diameter, that you could put treats inside. It had two holes in it, and the dog was supposed to keep rolling it about until the treats came out. Avatar dog rolled it for a few seconds, found that nothing came out, and decided that if all that was in there was pieces of dry dog food, then he wasn't bothered about it. I don't know what he would have done if it had had cheese inside, but we didn't want to put anything like that in there because it wasn't very cleanable.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

In case the thread geneticists missed it...
Richard III was actually a blue eyed blond, well as a child at least. That and the Royal Family may not actually be all that Royal:
