    Clearing ice is not necessary.
Just start the car, turn the windscreen blower on max and rear window heating on. Then loiter a bit. That's how I do it. :)
Before I used to loiter and have a smoke, now I just loiter.
If the ice is really thick, I use de-icer spray.

Sounds like the sort of 'handbag' that can only go in the hold.

    Not quite that big....but almost!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well, immersion heater still works, no idea if I am supposed to use it but I needed to be clean and it warms me up/soothes my joints.

Now feel all nice and snuggly.

Push button, wait for garage door to open, drive out smiling and waving to neighbours who are scrapping, push other button so garage door closes as you drive off.

(Don't forget your hat and scarf because once you get out of the car you realise it is cold out)
    I think....

We leave our car in a lean to usually. That's enough to prevent ice but not it being fogged up or cold.

If we put it inside a barn then someone has to loitre outside to open a gate anyway.

The Aygo just fits in our garage. lengthwise there is room for the freezer and some junk, width ways there is room for little else.

You forgot the bit about crawling through your boot - I remember your garage pic! ;)
Our garage is now taken by Mrs. Wheezy new-ish car, so my poor old Mazda sleeps outside.
It's a small garage, room for a car, 2 racks with beer/wine and tools, westie's travel crate, a hozelock thingy and some bits and bobs.

I think I've just had my most unproductive day ever. Most of it of it has been spent trying to credit £10 to a cellular Ipad. EE….. what a croc of !!!!!!
