I dislike trundling my goods/possessions to the car if I'm going away as you never know who is watching. I used to work away Mon-Fri and, with a garage, you can load up the night before and just be seen driving out of the garage when you're off for a week... nobody knows. Also, with the door closed, nobody knows if you're in/out.
I always know when a certain set of neighbours are away. They trundle their noisy wheeled suitcases down the road to pick up their taxi round the corner, so avoiding their taxi driver knowing where they live. Their "out" lights then come on at specified times that bear no relation to their usual pattern of light usage.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You forgot the bit about crawling through your boot - I remember your garage pic!
Our garage is now taken by Mrs. Wheezy new-ish car, so my poor old Mazda sleeps outside.
It's a small garage, room for a car, 2 racks with beer/wine and tools, westie's travel crate, a hozelock thingy and some bits and bobs.
The irony is our oldest smallest car is safely tucked up in the garage and the other 2 are out in the cold.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The outlander sales man was trying to sell the car on a feature where there is an app that pre warms the car so you can tell the car to start warming from bed.
Fir pointed out this might be dubious use to us, as we still have to traverse the garden or farm yard to the car. Might suit town/city/cottage dwellers better.
Salesman then moved on to electric seat function. Fir got quite excited and said, what does that do then? Sales man said it moved car seat position. Fir said, haven 't yet had a car where seat isn't adjustable. Salesman said, yes but this is electric buttons, not just levers. Fir said ( grinning but a little sad) , what an anticlimax. I thought it might be an ejector seat or something. Its really under delivering.....adjusting seats which have always been adjustable.
I can just tell we are car sales people's worst nightmare.0 -

Absolutely. It depended how much it went for and before they come up you don't know, so all you can do is watch them. Some of the stuff has been 80% off, which would have been an absolute steal and easy to get a bedframe for. However at that price you didn't miss much. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
