Weird posts around that when quoted become readable.

    Thanks, yes of course.

As I used to use on those other things I can remember name of in labs. :o:D

Imagine how it feels to have this brain:rotfl:

Body worker was great. I feel like I'm making some improvement again. I can sit upright for quite a while, with decent posture and no support ATM. And, I put my boots on from standing up with out leaning on anything when I left. :D.

    She's good.

    That's good to hear, lir.

Maggie - I've had M.E. since 1999; I know you're trying to get a proper diagnosis at the moment, and I do hope you'll be able to, but at any rate, feel free to PM me if you want to chat, ask anything, or just have a moan :) I'm not too bad at the moment and can walk slowly for about 10 minutes, if i then take it very easy for the rest of the day. Pacing is the thing, but easier said than done! At present my arms are worse than my legs.

Thank everyone, for the welcome. I've never thought of you as at all cliquey, it's just that most of you have been friends for a long time and it can feel a bit cheeky to butt in :)

    Not at all cheeky.

We are chums, but we didn't used to be. :). Anyway, to late now, you have opened Pandora's box :D

They do that. The trouble is that people don't know ... and they can't get the message out to enough members to do it ... in sufficient quantities to make a difference.

Even if 5-6 people were sitting for 2-3 hours hitting spam every time .... they might all be on different threads, creating only 3-4 spam reports.... so it can't be coordinated in such an attack

Seems to be back spamming again now.

I'm guessing MSE doesn't have a way to filter by thread title - they're all the same!

Not sure whether they're just taking down individual posts on report, or also banning the user / taking down all their posts from that single report.

Blimey, that's hard at the best of times. I can't do that (need to lean on something for balance even for putting, ahem, undergarments on) :o:)

Had a disturbing conversation with Mum yesterday evening.

She and Dad had just got back from 48 hours in Poland for a wedding. Dad had another 'episode' while they were there - just blanked out while eating a meal. It's like fainting without the dizziness or actually falling over.

Very similar to the episode he had in France a few months ago; on both occasions they'd had a long, stressful day of travelling.

Luckily, it was over within a few minutes so they didn't seek medical attention this time. (It lasted for quite a bit longer in France, and he got checked out with ECGs etc at the local hospital immediately on that occasion - given the all clear).

He's going to the GPs today if he can get an appointment and I'm sure they'll start some more tests as they said they would if it recurred. I don't really think it's a TIA as there are no symptoms of that (no pain, numbness, one-sided issues etc). But it's still worrying as there don't appear to be warning signs.

There's nothing I can do at 200 miles' distance other than hope and pray that a) it never happens in a situation where danger could result, b) they diagnose it quickly, and c) it won't cause too many restrictions on their lives.

Mum says his incredible astute mental facilities seem to be slowing a bit, but that may be completely unrelated.

Oh, it's hard when your parents start getting older and you've nobody to give you a hug about it.
  • <hugs> Yorkie.

    How old are they?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
