Tell them you did then stick your tongue out :)

But make sure this is AFTER you've got it back fixed :rotfl:

    Good point lol.
Or do it pulling away in 5th with revs bouncing off the limiter!

Will try and do a handbrake turn too! haha
I actually didn't want to reject the car tbh but felt I had no option. Due to work commitments I simply cannot be without a car or out of pocket whilst fighting to get my money back.
A review of the dealer will be posted and I can honestly say I will never use them again!

Now I am off to buy shoes :-)

  • Hello

    Me again!

So the car has been repaired at no cost to me but now Mitsubishi are refusing to refund all my travel expenses incurred.

Basically they are saying that as I did the damage to the clutch the repairs were carried out as a goodwill gesture and will not reimburse me!

As I paid for everything on my c/c including the car is there any way I can dispute the transactions?

    Thanks sarah

How can you dispute the transactions, they've got nothing to do with Mitsubishi?

Only thing you can do is threaten to take then to court. Start with a 'letter before action'.

Who paid for the repairs, Mitsubishi UK or the selling garage ? All your consumer rights are against the seller and your rights in any manufacturers warranty / goodwill repair are down to their T&Cs.
  • Hello
The selling dealership paid for the repairs as a "goodwill" gesture.

If they will not pay up claim your consequential losses from the garage through the courts.

For future reference this is what breakdown cover is for.
  • There is no doubt that they must return the money to you. I have never heard such a thing, this is unacceptable.

I do have breakdown cover! This car has been nothing but hassle since I purchased it.

Mitsubishi uk have rejected my claim for travel expenses full stop. They did provide me with a hire car for 5 days but that is it. I paid for the carpark whilst on holiday, a train home from Manchester , oh a taxi home from the airport and they have refused to refund anything.
