This is yet another classic example of why people should not buy a car from so far away. I'm sure the OP is realising that now herself.
This is yet another classic example of why poppasmurf should read the whole thread before coming on here and posting rubbishHello - thanks for replying.
Yes I did buy it from a dealership in South Wales. I then drove 200 miles to Manchester to go to the airport. This is where I came un stuck as the car was recovered by Mitsubishi breakdown into a local dealership.
The option of recovering the car to the original dealership wasn't available.
I don't really want the hassle of trying to reject the car. All I want is the car to be repaired!
Does it help that I have paid for it on my credit card???
poppasmurf do you really think Sarahlovesshoes lives at the airport ?0 -

I DID read the whole thread. Nowhere did she state she lived in South Wales until after my post. Her location stated Manchester although she's changed it now.
My mind reading and hindsight modes must have been switched off, but there again I'm male."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Well either way I'm not sure the relevance of where I live has anything to do with a car breaking down 2 days after purchase?? Maybe next time I get a car I will only use a dealership within a 10 mile radius of home and not drive any further than that!! Makes getting to work tricky though Finally debt free and loving it!0

also post number 8 where Sarahlovesshoes says "So I am stuck in Manchester with no way of getting home!" would suggest to me that she doesn't actually live in manchester0 -

All that suggests to me is that she was daft enough to drive 200 miles without the security of having comprehensive breakdown cover.
She could have lived in Stockport or Tameside which are all of five miles away and the phrase you quoted would apply."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

she also said in the same post that " I was advised that maybe I could get a train home and go back and get the car when its repaired! " if it was all of five miles it would hardly be a problem, bus ,taxi, train whatever five miles would not be a problem to anybody
its time to stop digging

Actually I have Mitsubishi Assistance, hence why it was recovered to the nearest dealership.................but hey ho, it was my fault for buying a car and expecting it to last more than 2 days! how very foolish of me!!!Finally debt free and loving it!0

As predicted the warranty are not covering the repairs and I am waiting to find out if the selling dealership will repair the vehicle for me. In the meantime I have formally rejected the vehicle and advised Mitsubishi UK today over the phone and will also send letters to them and the selling dealership tomorrow. I have asked for a copy of the report that the warranty company issued just to see what they are saying. I am still fuming that I have had to fight so hard to get things sorted and looks like I have to fight to get my money back! This is exactly the reason why used car dealers have such a terrible reputation. Finally debt free and loving it!0

Oh this didn't happen btw! the selling dealership changed their minds and hoped the warranty company would cough up...............Sarahlovesshoes wrote: »so the saga continues.......Colley Motors in South Wales (original selling dealership) have finally given the ok for the Rochdale garage to complete the work. As it is so late on in the day, the repairing garage cannot guarantee when the work will be completed, so in the meantime I have a hire car to use. My car will then be delivered back to original dealership sometime next week, where I drop off hire car. This has taken me the best part of 2 days to sort out and was only resolved when I complained to Mitsubishi UK. I am inclined to keep all receipts for expenses incurred through me not having use of my car. The aftersales has been truly appalling!!Finally debt free and loving it!0
