The clutch has been abused (probably not by you). I'm not surprised the warranty company have refused to pay.
I AM very surprised that a main dealer supplying a still fairly new vehicle is doing anything except sorting this out for you with the minimum of fuss.0 -

Not sure why they are making this YOUR problem.
Car failed within 2 days of purchase = problem deemed to be there at the time of sale.
Contact the selling dealer and find out what they're going to do to resolve this as quickly as possible for you.0 -
I've just sent a letter to selling dealership rejecting the car under sales of goods and burden of proof.
I am not giving up and determined to either get the car repaired or a full refund.
Hopefully they now finally realise I am not going to be a walk over! Finally debt free and loving it!0 -

I would contact Mitsubishi UK customer service again, and let them know whats been happening.
Cant remember if you said or not or if this has been suggested, but if you have the car on HP / PCP finance, ring the finance company and let them know whats happening.0 -

Both the selling dealership and Mitsubishi uk have received my formal letter of rejection this morning and now all of a sudden the car is being repaired at no expense to myself and will be delivered to my home address in South Wales. I feel it's a hollow victory as I would have been happy with that at the beginning but had to fight all the way. Thanks to everyone who helped and offered practical advice. Oh as a final insult they did suggest I rode the clutch for 253 miles but hey ho if that makes them feel better so be it! Thanks Sarah Finally debt free and loving it!0

Once it's fixed I hope you write an online review of this dealer to warn others.
Sounds more like something that would happen at a back street trader rather than a main dealer.0 -
Id still reject the car
Nd purchase else where
F reated you like this, this soon what if something else goes wrong later...0 -
