    Good morning everyone

Been out of the loop for just over 3 weeks as my DH and I have been on a 3-week holiday touring Rajasthan in India. Average daytime temperature there was mid to high 20s - very pleasant. I must say it was a rude awakening to return in the middle of a weather bomb! Is this a new expression? Choile was thinking of you in particular in the West Highlands!

Hope you are all well and that all projects are progressing smoothly.

BBffffffffffffffrrrrrrrrrrrr - Freezing & white & blubbery cold.

India sounds like a good idea.

Your doggie pic look wonderful - does the cat not mind?

Plaster on the ceiling slope one side - not skimmed yet, but what a difference - the kitchen is starting to look like a room.

Being trapped in Swindon seems too horrible to contemplate, alfie, although those who know the 'Magic Roundabout' will realise that this could become a reality for anyone in misty weather! ;)

Head counts are totally essential and take no time at all, especially nowadays when everyone is ( theoretically) strapped into their seats.

I remember a day when the head count didn't add up, so
I had to traipse through almost the whole of RAF Yeovilton to find one dozy 10 year old, whom I eventually located conversing with a couple of men in the viewing gallery.....

Yes, you'll get away without counting 99 times out of 100, but it's not worth the risk. I can't think of another instance, except the time when we lost about 25 kids on a map reading exercise....and then it was a bit obvious! :rotfl:

I shall take pics tomorrow CTC -I would have been plastered today as there's scaffolding everywhere & stew doesn't hang around. I stayed out of the way today making bacon sarnies & cups of tea & handing things up etc.

So that's one slope now plastered too.

Freezing & snowing hard earlier today - thought the roads would be blocked but not so.

Your Mum had a bit of an ordeal Alfie. Happened to our neighbours going to a hospital appointment but the bus left early - which they do sometimes & it jiggers you up as there are only 3 buses a week! Kid you not. Some one drove them to overtake it in a racing driver fashion, but honestly - some folks just don't think. They've got mince for brains as they say.

I love the solstice - means it's all on the way back up -= although January Feb are usually our worse months weather wise.

Zebedee the ram got his girlies in the other day & he's well chuffed. Just shows you.

There was a male blackbird chasing a female outside today & it's bitter, so something's afoot = probably anything to keep warm.
