choille, I had visions of you doing the Heimlich manoeuvre on your poor sheep, hope she's fully recovered now.

lucielle, belated Happy Birthday. Your post about your DS1 coming home brought tears to my eyes :o What a lovely surprise for you.

lir, hope you are ok, sorry to read about big dog xx

Hope all other day-dreamers are doing ok too. Rozee hasn't updated for a while. Hope all is well with the missing few.

I haven't posted for ages, but there hasn't been anything to tell. DH is still looking for that elusive permanent contract & until he gets something we are stuck in limbo land.

    Best wishes to everyone :)

  • HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY Luceille...

I bet you were on cloud nine when your DS walked in..... so naughty, yet so fabulously wonderful that your OH and DS done this surprise for you..

What a night last night.... but I bet it wasn't a patch on what weather you are having Choille....

I really do need to try and get into the Christmas spirit... i am reluctant to even buy small stocking filler type stuff smellies etc...

Yeh but essentially you are pleased, although no doubt you would have liked DS1 for the whole of last week?

We once had an interesting time; parent could not understand why I had not got it together to pick up new tights before joining a celebration weekend and had to go out during the visit! I came back with her favourite family member.

What none of us knew was that her OS sibling who she had not seen for years had managed to get a late flight and turned up on rellies. So at lunch-time they arrived with an extra guest. We were expecting a phone call at 3pm!

Speaking of people returning to the fold, my prodigal family have come back just in time to miss the last of the demolition for this week. The office I was sitting in only two days ago is full of rubble... It's all part of the work that will see the old front door disappear and a window leap sideways to fill part of the space, possibly by this time next week. :)

The cats are totally confused by the re-configuration going on. One has just tried walking through a wall, or rather she stopped and looked to me to open it for her. :rotfl:

We had the first read-through of the Panto this week. Despite appealing for new blood, it looked exactly like the old crew to me!

It was very good of whoever allocated the roles to give two of us smaller parts this year, as we shall both be very busy in February, either moving house, or trying to refurbish one. Originally, we planned to just stop the building work for two months in the depths of winter, but unless we get really dire weather, it seems sensible to just push on.
