Yes, had a mixed bag here too, but we're currently going through a lull before another lot runs through in the night. It was even sunny for a while after lunch.:)

Rivers are up but not out....yet.

It's OK. I have this naff job sorting out the conservatory windowsills, which I foolishly offered to tile......:( Anything's better than Wednesday though, which was spent trailing around bathroom showrooms.

    Same here Alfie...

And I had to go to a kitchen showroom Dave. I don't see why I need one. I haven't had one for 5 years, so clearly I can manage without ;)

More good news: DD1 entered a competition on Heart radio today and won £2k worth of input for DD2's engagement party, which was looking somewhat lacking in investment. Now they'll have DJ, lights, activities and a mega-cake.....

DD1 is dead lucky like that.

Oh wow I heard this in air Dave! How fabulous. Lovely news

Yes, she was waiting for a long time in the hospital with Sam, heard whatever it was you had to do and phoned-in.

Sam's been discharged. They won't see him re his broken elbow for a long time now. Hasn't put him off his bike; in fact he had a larger one for his birthday. :)

    Still hammering down here......:(

Good about Sam Dave & the win.

Alfie - that horse is just so gorgeous.

Really wild & windy here - good run on the beach earlier & Collie Wobble met a girlie friend so he tired himself out. The wind is bitingly cold so that blew the cobwebs away. Trying to list stuff on the bay but everything is conspiring against me tonight - camera on the blink - how annoying is that?

Thought I'd found a bargain one owner car with very low mileage this afternoon, but it turned out the vendor had misplaced a digit, so I misplaced my offer to him. :p

Apart from that, a quiet day, swearing at the windowsills I'm still prepping...

morbid subject but mum is intent on sorting out her affairs asap ! took her to the building society today for her to transfer her £s to her bank account instead . she wants it "all in one place"
and fortunately they were on the ball and double/triple checked nobody had influenced her or asked for money ....

wants us to pick a bunch of flowers from the garden [seasonal] and NOT buy a big communal display :rotfl:
as she says she may be around for donkeys years but ...

must admit it has prompted me to even write a will !!

poor old bimble is getting slower and his legs not as strong , cant jump up anymore so have a !!!!!! thingy at the end of the sofa and my bed to help him ..:D

my garden looks like a wilderness  I know what I want to do its just finding the time AND the energy .. I cannot dig as it sets my back off so may need to get someone in to help [son is a massachist re plants !]

Mum's being sensible Alfie - It is good that she is doing this then she can feel easier.

Good luck tomorrow - you'll be better for getting it all done.

Cold here but a good run on the beach with a Springer Spaniel as well as Collie Wobble. Remembered I had bulbs that should have been in the ground so did that hastily this afternoon - whether they'll come or not - some of them looked a bit manky.

My hands were frozen - my backs the same Alfie - I only did a little digging but it is killing me. Boring paperwork stuff done as well so that was good. Didn't get dark until 5.50 so it's stretching out.

Hope the teeth look like this now, alfie.....:D and that they soon feel like this....:j I have a lengthy procedure lined-up for the end of the month. I'm not too bothered as the dentist is very easy on the eye, but the cost is pretty ... even on the NHS.

It's been unlike February here and there's no sign of a cooler change on the Met Office's horizon. On the one hand, I like it, but my sensible head says we should have more frosts. :o
