Really please tori.k that it's working out fine. It's a thought when moving house I suppose - what will the neighbours be like.

We are spoilt in being isolated in one way but in others we have to travel miles to get anything.

Snow thawing fast after the freeze so that is good - sign of age when you are glad to see the back of it.

Short lived fun for us, weather has warmed back up back to double digits, with the humidly levels so high its not pleasant.
    You're not joking!

...we ventured over the border today for me to do my Application of Pesticides Exam. No problems, no Backstop, not even Plymstock, but as soon as we crossed the Tamar the mist closed-in and the wipers were going full-time! :(

It worked out well though. My examiner was loathe to spend long out in the rain and I'm stronger on the regs than the maths involved in practical calibration etc..;)

Anyway, I passed, so now I can carry on doing what I've been doing for almost 10 years, but legally. :A

As soon as we returned over the border....sunshine! :p Not a lot admittedly, but we had no rain here today.

More good news: DD1 entered a competition on Heart radio today and won £2k worth of input for DD2's engagement party, which was looking somewhat lacking in investment. Now they'll have DJ, lights, activities and a mega-cake.....

DD1 is dead lucky like that.

he normally is plaited to keep it tidy !
he was turned out in a paddock today to let him see the others over the gate ... we in our wisdom decided NOT to rug him BUT we did plait his mane ...
well of course he rolled ....and rolled...and rolled in the deepest mud patch he could find  lesson learnt !!
he looks like a mud monster :o whoops !
have to give him a bath at the weekend ...

its been 8-10d the last 2 days, very balmy but has turned to rain this evening ....:(

son reversed out of our drive and ended up on the ditch today ! we are on a bend so have to reverse and swing hard left but his low profiles didn't stop ! he sort of just slid on the gravel backwards ... mum had to tow him out , which was met with a look that said "don't you tell anyone I did this" look .... :rotfl: well you peeps aren't just anyone ;)
