Nooooooo!!!......I couldn't give up tea! That, and one other thing........
Glad the pigglies are doing well now, CTC.
The insulation was done yesterday by two guys from the Valleys, near Merthyr, presumably working on contract in the Westcountry because it pays better than staying at home. They were practically at Land's End on Thursday!
Anyway, they were great workers, if a bit disorganised to start with, turning-up with no idea where the nearest branch of Travis was, when they'd passed a good few on the way! "Never mind," says I, "it's only a 45mile round trip from here!" :rotfl:
So, we're all done & dusted up top, and a biblical deluge, bang on 6pm, gave us a great test of the roof.....So far, no problems, but there's the rain and gale-force wind test to complete yet.....;)
We are missing the Market today as we've no stock ready. Can't do it all, and after putting insulation on all the pipes close the eaves on Thursday, I need time to recover from the bruising on my chest and general aches & pains...Yeah, it was a job I'd been putting-off, with good reason. I don't think I'd male a pot-holer!

I once had a Toyota, but it was one of their boring models, and to be honest, so bland economical and reliable, I sold it and bought a big Audi, which was none of those things! :rotfl:
Unfortunately, here, the only 'poop, poop' is all over the roads.Couple that with the Devon hedges, and the best thing to drive is something like Pete's truck. That's a Toyota too; like the one they couldn't destroy on Top Gear.

Alfie - No little patter of Dolly Mixtures yet? I want the pink striped one please.
The chap came about doing the outside landscaping - eventually - after about two months of hassling. He took a look & seemed very non - commital & said he was very busy. I could scream.
We still have some of his scaffolding so he said he'd pick that up....later....wish it was sooner rather than later. So feel like we are going backwards again.
Doing some bits & pieces of dabbing paint on skirtings that had to be filled.
Ebay is dead at the mo, so not wasting time listing anything else, other than doing relists - again & again & again.
Nice car IHS - did you buy it?
Dave - Really good that the insulation is finished - it is a big job.0 -

Yep. Just the car for the North Coast 500 I reckon...;)0 -
Well, if your passing, you're welcome to drop in.
The thunder of bikes going passed today is constant - mind you I like bikes.
We had Morgans going passed on Friday - lovely weather for it - the place looks stunning - not my place, just the location.0 -
We had Lizzie Queen's Big 90 Birthday Bash today.....so it was all hands on deck putting tents up, cooking a few things, and then returning in the afternoon to eat too much.
It was quite a small, civilized event, but it's nice for the village to come together for something.....and just a pity that our Village Day was only a week ago! :undecided
Still, you never go hungry here.....:D0 -

Weather has cooled down a bit. But grey overcast, rain etc. Been getting round to doing more raised beds.. think they are the only way I can keep things under control.
Have given in too doing mega weed killer spraying this year. To try and get things under control..we have been pulling the knotweed up until now , to try and knock it back..Work to live= not live to work0
