IHS, my rodgersia suffered weevil damage over winter and had no roots, so I'm nursing it in the polytunnel. The ginger lily is always slow to kick-off, but speeds up eventually when other flowers are past.

As for the dahlias, my newest acquisition refuses to put out a single bud, so I'm very pleased I took the seeds from it. They won't come true, but I might get something interesting...

    Looks better than this IRL:

Sorry read through posts, been a bit busy. ,Had a sow that farrowed on Monday, and it wasn't a smooth birth. More or less bottle feeding the piglets, got oxytocin from the vet, but it's either hasn't kicked in, or its not going to work. Bought one of the lamb feeder buckets, but so far they are not interested, as now the associate us with good/milk..

Plumber is supposed to be coming to have a look this afternoon, so hope he turns up this time!!!

Alfie - forgive my memory, but was she abandoned - Dolly?

CTC - Hope the sow recovers - that must be very tying with the piglets having to be hand fed. It will be expensive too if you have to get special milk?

Hope the plumber turns up - you know what plumbers are like?

Lovely day here again. Seems unreal all this sunshine.

hi, no she belonged to a "breeder" and was "passing" her on to anyone with a £s.. friend felt sorry for her and got her. she was rehomed to what he thought was a good home but got hoodwinked... they stuck her in a shed and hence puppies ! he took her back after 1 week but they obviously wasted no time !!
hence my concern for all this novelty "oodle" breeding !!

Goodness - it is horrid all this breeding thing.

Hope that the pups get good homes. If I lived nearer I would have one. Ages since I had a dog.

    Too hot here to think.

Free listing on the bay so done some photos - although I have masses of stuff listed & it's slow, I just hope that it picks up again.

23° tomorrow and my office doesn't have air-con!

That said, when I worked in London it was 30°+ on the Tube so mustn't grumble!

Baking hot, so went to a dam a distance off & I got a nice walk through what was a flooded village - done years ago to make way for the dam. The houses are gone, but there are bits of stuff here & there - it's an odd place. can only get a good walk there when it's low = the water is low.

Coming home OH had to squint a lot as it was so bright - blood red sun set & a line of red on the Loch - fabulous at 10 pm.

Must get the sheep some fly repellent tomorrow - that will be a struggle as Oh's ankles are really bad just now.
