That sounds like a good job done Alfie - wish I could pick up similar, but nothing like that here.
Snowed this morning & a little flurry tonight - really cold. But roads clear so trip over to Inverness was fine.
Skins arrived & hairy cat is attacking them - look better than I thought they would & slightly bigger than I thought too. Now Lucielle what am I due you for Postage?
Bought exterior varnish as the Danish oil is not really adequate on the doors as it's been torrential rain each day since they done a couple of months back - even though I did a good few coats - it's not enough.0 -
Phew glad they arrived, was panicking! No charge as you kindly left one behind, which is looking very cozy on a chair.

L you really must let me pay for P.
Glad you like it.
Sunny here & calm - how odd that seems, but it's been snowing through the night, but only laying on the tops. Nice to see the sun.0 -
Lovely day here as well!

Dusk......................
A whole hour later than last week when it was overcast and raining.
The first clear dry day since Christmas I think, and I am working Grr..........If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
hi all.......
well next time someone asks me to tart up a flat ...im gonna check theres a LIFT !!
78 x 6 steps ....[3 trips] I looked like a bag lady moving in, I saw the net twitching in the block opposite ..:rotfl:
I am absolutely kernackered... why do I do it !
we had a thick white frost this morning, it was actually beautifull albeit 1 degree !
right a barf beckons and if you don't hear from me for a few days...im still in it !0 -
Yes, it was good just seeing the sun. Sorry you were working RAS.
I had to varnish the front door &Bit's still open as it isn't dry. It's really cold, crisp, but DRY.
Lit another bonfire to burn paper work & stuff.0 -
It wasn't quite dry here, but sunshine predominated. Unfortunately, the toaster expired and we'd run out of some basics, so I spent much of the day on a shopping expedition, instead of tidying up the garden beds as originally planned.
I never found Danish oil lasted, choille. It's a nice concept, not having a skin over your wood, but the reality is that one's needed in our climate.
I once lived in an attic flat alfie: 5 flights of stairs to reach the front door. You didn't tend to forget things when nipping over the road to the shops! :rotfl:0 -
