temperature has drastically dropped here, averaged 7d.. they reckon its gonna get colder !!

I have big dog and pup again this weekend so ive had to think of best plan for trip tomorrow.. sons working so hes not here..
cant take them all [5], well I could but be impossible to control all for pee stops. cant leave pup here alone for too long.. so im getting someone to pop in to see to mine mid-day and I will take pup with me.. watch this space :p
I actually leave patio door open so they can come and go safely when im out for short spells .. garden is well fenced. but don't know how long I will be [hoping max 5 hour turn around]

spoke to the man whos going to be training my ruby to drive [horse-cart ;) ]... hes struggling with the 2 he has at the moment ,taking longer than he thought so ruby's going to him in the new year.. perfick..:D

    Very cold here.
Spent most of the morning attempting to catch a lamb on the hill - mental. About three hours plus up there = back & forth.

Left her up there as there's nowt I could do.

Thinking of advertising for a Polish worker to help with the build - I am desperate.

    Thoughts anyone?

friend who has hotels up your way has said his best workers are eastern European. he says nobody local wants the work. he provides 1st class accommodation/meals etc. AND they "police" themselves... any slackers are out.
I say this because he was building another hotel and had problems with the schedule and got in a team of polish labourers that actually the original team couldn't keep up with !
they did two months work in a month.
you would have to offer some sort of accommodation or if they have their own caravan ? give it a go, not sure where from tho ? or do you know of someone ?

Alfie - I don't know where to advertise or who would be suitable, but if you could get a recomendation of a worker I could give them rough accomodation in my caravan that I am in just now. It does have the stove.

    Could you email me please.

Love the Robin up a tree...............

    Thanks Alfie.

I'll email my details. I was gonna put an ad on Gumtree, but it's a bit unsafe in a way.
  • Dusting of snow overnight and cold but at least it's clear and bright, after the days and days of rain. Bobble hat on and cutting down the perennials I reckon.

Brrrrr.....it's a chilly 15c in the office at present and 5c outside, but it's going to be a straight fight between wind chill and solar gain over the next few hours. After that, it should be less windy and we'll have more hope of heating the house a bit.

I think I will start today by crazy foaming the gaps in the living room ceiling, which isn't plastered yet. It's the only one that isn't and we can't do it till February......:(
