You should have brought dogs here and left them Alfie, picked them up on way back!
very kind of you . I left big dog,old gal, bimble and asbo at home and took pup with me. he was soooo good. he settled on a cosy bed in the front footwell [thought it would be better than the back by himself] we stopped at services, he had a pee and then had a run around with mans whippet dog when we got there. he slept all the way home. hes only aprox 14 weeks old and ive been training him little things by hand signal not voice... hes a sharp likkle cookie .0 -

With the temps here this morning, I'd be afraid that anything I exhibited would go unnoticed!
On a more serious note, but on the same theme, we are currently deliberating over the back-up our elm hedge needs if we are ever to be private in winter time. The hedge leafs up quickly in spring and it's fine in summer, but from early November it becomes somewhat see-though to the lane.
We are considering a second hedge about 8'-10' from the elm to create a green lane of our own, but this one would be less see-through. Space is not an issue, so it's just a matter of choosing something non-prickly and evergreen-ish. At the moment I'm favouring evergreen oak, or maybe privet, which is less expensive and faster, but then fast means more trims per year. We have to remember that the tractor does the top and outside face of the elm, but we can't have a John Deere whizzing around the garden......Decisions!0 -
Morning all
I have been wearing my thermals for a few weeks , only because my jeans have worn away in certain places, where I would get arrested for indecent exposure if I didn't have my thermals on underneath lol..
With all the thousands and thousands of jeans that we had in work, I only would take one pair, and wear them until they were thread bare.. So I need to actually go into a shop and buy jeans!!

Davesnave,
Once the boards are cut and clicked into each other they are using tacks/ thin nails to nail it to the batons..
It does look better in real life than in the pics, once its all done we are going to lime mortar the edge that butts up to the stone wall rather than have a ' shadow gap'
The woman in b&q did look at me strange when I said we were going to clad the wall with it lolWork to live= not live to work0 -
Now, I do not believe I wanted to do that...0
