Morning all
Well it is piddling it down here, and the weather forecast said we might have the odd bit of thunder!!!!
Choille how is OH today??
Well all the windows are in now, and hubby has got to lime mortar around them.
So fingers crossed the house is now water tight.. Can't afford the doors at the moment, plus there is still loads and loads of work to be done inside, so think it will be wise to leave them anyway.. We have put that expanding foam around one of the door frames to fill in the gaps while we are waiting..
Got a few things finishing tonight on the day ( auctions) and 3 out of the 4 items have bids on them, and had a few early bids so fingers crossed they bring a few good pennies in..Work to live= not live to work0 -

My niece now has a dog of similar size. He's a cross between a Jack Russell and a pug, which isn't as bad as it sounds, though his teeth are permanently on show and he looks as if he's smiling. He's very well-behaved and never picks up any of their baby's toys, even when left in the house alone.
Had to take DW to Okehampton today for a hospital appt and there's another in Exeter tomorrow, so we are ducking and diving this week, but it's good that she's at last having treatment. All the phoning and chasing last week was worthwhile.
Not much news, but I did make contact with Mr Rod:j tonight and we are definitely near the top of his list! Electricians are still AWOL and there's still no sign of our 2nd oven.
I too hope your OH is doing well, choille.0 -
HAHAHA... Think I better buy her a little doogie denim jacket I have seen to cover ' her bra'
We bought her a little cat harness a few weeks back, as they are alot smaller and softer than the dog ones, and she has out grown it. So will have to buy her another one soon..
Glad all that chasing and phoning around has worked Davesnave..hope everything goes OK...
Hubby is slowly starting to be himself again, but still very gaunt and thin, after loads of nagging, he said he will go to the Dr's so fingers crossed he does.Work to live= not live to work0 -

Men are like that. I know a couple of them that could do with a Dr check-up, judging from what I've heard, but will they go!
The problem is, it's often bad news after 60, while no news gives a false sense of security.
As I've said before, I was a fit man till I began having the 'pensioner tests!!' :rotfl:0 -
Quiet here and nippy outside. We're not exactly in the Top 20 for dark skies here, but positioned where we are, there's still a huge area of sky to see - a great reminder of how tiny we are. We're too far south for the Northern Lights, which might be possible in some places tonight.
I was out hunting moggies. Normally, they're on human time and retire to their beds around 21.00, but tonight Lila is sitting in the middle of a fennel patch and Izzy is rushing about being silly. At least it's probably too cold for bats.
DW had some rather painful injections & treatment today in Exeter. which gave almost instant results. While she'll need further follow-up treatment, she's already walking without pain for the first time in ages, even uphill.0 -
