    Gorgeous day here.

Lovely potter about Seahouses, Banbury Alnwich & just drinking in the different landscape & seeing the curvature of the earth.

Well done Alfie on your profiteering escapades.

Sorry that it's raining Lucielle - rain? What rain?..............Goodness, it's good to see a bit of what Summer feels like. Good for the ole bones.

Such gorgeous places to visit! I loved our trip to Northumberland and I am looking forward to going back. Glad you are having such a lovely time :D

Nice weather here today and I spent it sitting reading in the sunshine :D I did consider doing some gardening but I felt my time would be better spent relaxing :rotfl:

Glorious sunshine again. Is this normal?

Glad that the painting is done & the fitting is imminent.

That's the spirit Rummer.....that relaxing is serious & requires practice.

    morning all...

suns shining, 1 lot of hays cut ,although bottom 2 fields don't look worth cutting , so we will top those and fertilise next spring. hoss's can use them this winter..

ive just had an email saying ive sent via paypal a payment for Skype ? £64 !! it hasn't gone out of my account so im guessing its a con  it says click on this link if not correct and that just asks for my details .... no chance hose' .. if it DOES go from my account I will take up a complaint... so be aware of this con [if it is] folks..

im collecting some post holder thingies today that I ordered so I can build a flight extension for blue,my owl. it will be about 12' x 8' poss 16'x8'.. haven't measured yet :o blue loves the rain [sometimes] and will be good as totally undercover at the moment.

I must get my mower sorted. I have a virtually new mountfield in the garage which I brought with me but forgot about as it was buried at the back... just gotta find someone to service/fix it.. I nearly bought another one ! trouble is I used to know an old boy that was a wiz with motors but hes "not around anymore"...:( the "shops" charge £70 to go through the door !

right I better shift my butt... have a good day y'all

I think that weather is what others experience Choille, maybe you and I just have personal rainclouds :rotfl: Did you make it down to the beaches in Northumberland? They are stunning and we had a lovely time collecting treasures and splashing in the water.

It would be lovely to be closer to the beach as I love visiting but we are about an hour away so quick trips are not overly practical.

Try Newton just north of Alnmouth. Lovely pub. And try a kipper from Craster.

How is OH walking? Walkworth Castle is fascinating even in the rain and the river Coquet good too.

Lovely day again; I have to walk along the canal at intervals at this time of the year and it was great to hear the birds singing away and check out the boats.

    I'm clocking-off now, I think....:p

The kitchen arrived at about 8am this morning, but once the guys who are assembling it arrived, there wasn't much for us to do.....so we took a day off .......and did housework/garden tidying! :o

I suppose things haven't gone downhill too far to rescue, but there's no doubt we haven't been on top of the land and garden this year. Apart from mowing, I took a few hoursto prune shrubs and trees which missed-out earlier on. Not the right time, but anything is better than nothing. ;)

Walking up the stream bed, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was this time to just snip back the brambles my neighbour grows. It's taken a few years, but that awkward hedge bank we can't even see is now well under control and growing a few wild flowers, though nothing unusual. :)

I spent the morning relaxing in the sunshine and the afternoon getting the front garden into shape. Now sitting down to some black currant crumble with fruit from our garden :D

    Yes' M.

We were out seeing friends on a day trip on Sunday ( yesterday? ) so I am knackered and sore today, but I still got the grass cut ( shhhh, no one point out I sit down to do that...) before going to bed to put feet up ( why does that alway sound restful when its so necessary and pain relieving?) :o:D

Thinking of painting the back landing next weekend....not because its ready to be done, or next on the list of any think like that but because the magnolia ness is getting us down phenomenally and it shouldn't take very long to do, we hope.
